You have a very good system. I don't have dogs so I get to use the back seat area for gear but with your rear cargo area shelf system you have about double the capacity of my Wrangler and use it for gear where I use the seats. I do have a roof rack where I put place a Roof Bag. My Roof Bag is waterproof and dust proof. I place sleeping bags, tent, blankets, extra clothes and other light weight items in it. That saves me a ton of room in the Wrangler and doesn't make me top heavy. Thanks for sharing your packing system. I see several things that I could use to improve mine. By the way, this is the first video I have seen by you. I subscribed and plan on seeing what other useful tips and trips that you have done.

Man. I am really digging your channel - do you have an overlanding list or a website that shows where we can buy some of this gear that you’re showing us? You’ve got a ton of great gear and ideas. We have the same jeep so I’m going to start watching your stuff more and take notes. My set up is for my girl, my dog and myself.

I really appreciate it! We don't really have a list of links, but we are working on it. You can probably get a good idea from our original Overland JL Build video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKHZh2tmgtx_a6c , and our Interior Mods video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWqylqp8hZaKhbs . We are making some updates to the Jeep now to improve our camping experiences, and I'll be posting a new video about the changes and improvements soon.

Those are from Rhino Rack and they are part of their "Stow It" accessories. They can get a little sticky with dirt, but I've managed to keep them working by pressure washing them after dirty trips. Glad you guys found us!

Great video. You’ve done a lot that I plan on doing to mine. I appreciate you sharing. Question, why go with a portable power supply like the Bluetti, as opposed to a dual battery system like the Genesis? Not being critical, just looking at perspectives trying to learn.
@GoldensGoneWheelin6 ай бұрын
That is actually a really great question! Not taking it as critical at all. Frankly I would really like to have a secondary battery system/power source in the small cubby in the back under the floor where the drawers are all mounted. I just coudln't find a turn key system I could purchase, and I didnt have the time or knowledge when we built it out to build out my own. It would really be nice to have the weight down low vs. up on that shelf, and it would free up the space as well. I've been trying to research options, but it's hard to find something that also allows for the outputs and controls that the Bluetti has. I did look at the Genesis system when I was building this out, but I was told by their rep that replacing the Jeep secondary battery system with theirs would leave me with a dummy light on the dash. :( One last thing was I could take this out of the Jeep and use it it my other vehicles too.

Mike those are the Stow It utility holders from Rhino Rack. www.rhinorack.com/en-us/products/roof-racks/platforms-and-baskets/pioneer-platform-accessories/stow-it-utility-holder-regular-with-zwifloc_rsit2

Nice video. I have a very similar setup with almost all the same accessories. I noticed the fire extinguisher you have inside the rear door. What did you get to mount that? Also, do you plug the fridge into the Bluetti battery box, then the battery box into the cigarette plug next to the fridge? As you know, every inch matters. My Bluetti plug sticks way out, pushing my fridge over further than it needs to be. I found a flat pug adapter but it is also a splitter which reduces the amount of power I get out of that plug. This reduction means the fridge pulls power faster than the battery recharges. I'm interested to hear how yours is set up to make the most of the space and the power. Thanks!
@GoldensGoneWheelin5 ай бұрын
Hey thanks! For the fire extinguisher, I'm using the H3R ProLock for the mount. I posted a complete video on that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4POlKuCa6ySqK8 I do plug the fridge into the Bluetti, and then plug the Bluetti into the 12V plug in the back corner of the Jeep. The plug doesn't seem to stick out too far and obstruct the fridge sliding in and out at all. I wonder if my slide is different than what you have? The Bluetti AC180 never really gets below ~60% unless we spend more than one night in the same location without driving. I can run out and take a picture of it if that helps.
@SurfArchJeep5 ай бұрын
Thx. I'll check out that extinguisher video. I have the iceco slider and iceco fridge. My dog sits next to it so I have it as far driver as I can to give him the most space possible. I seem to have lost the 12v charger cable, so now gotta wait for a new one.
@GoldensGoneWheelin5 ай бұрын
@@SurfArchJeep I know American adventure labs makes a pretty cool 12V plug relocation setup for that back corner. You might want to check that out as a possible solution. I think your fridge solution might have you a bit closer to the side over there.

Can you please give link to propane tank holder and rear cargo rack that you use? Thanks!
@GoldensGoneWheelin4 ай бұрын
If you are refering to the propane tank holder on the spare tire, it's a combination two items: Power Tank Propane Tank Holder: powertank.com/collections/propane-brackets/products/bkt-2285 and the Rockslide Engineering EZ Rack: rockslideengineering.com/product/ez-rack-kit/ I believe you may be able to purchase the propane tank holder from Rockslide engineering as well and get everything at one place. Regarding the cargo rack - Are you refering to the shelf inside that back of the jeep? If so, that is the American Adventure Labs cargo shelf found here: americanadventurelab.com/product/jeep-jl-mass-cargo-shelf/?attribute_pa_finish=textured-black Let me know if you were refering to something else.
