Just to clarify for anyone who watches the video, "Inhibits the function of the microtubules" can sound like the microtubules aren't functioning well. But they are functioning just fine. Taxanes (paclitaxel) bind to the hollow inside of the microtubule lumen so it becomes very stable. So stable that it can't come apart. The cell has gone through all of the stages to divide, but it can't split so it gets stuck in anaphase until it dies.

Hello I am having paclitaxel right now. Why do they flush before and after pac. I have it through a pic line. If not flushed after paclitaxle is given is that a problem? I had 5 pac via cannula and my forearm aches all the time, getting worse and swells if I walk more then a few metres. Thank you for any feedback.
