ABOUT
The brilliant flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia contributed some groundbreaking performances and albums that stimulated the fusion of jazz and flamenco. Friday Night in San Francisco, a live trio recording with John McLaughlin and Al DiMeola, is a fine example of that. This musician was born as Francisco Sanchez Gomez in Algeciras, Spain hails from a very musical family. Flamenco runs through the veins of both his father Antonio Sanchez and his brothers Ramon and Pepe. In an early stage it became clear that young Paco was destined to become a musician; he received his first lessons when he was five years old. He was swift to comprehend the art of flamenco guitar and he developed his talent in various competitions and as a member of a dance group. A meeting with flamenco guitarist Sabicas, who urged him to explore beyond traditional flamenco, proved to be of groundbreaking importance. In addition to albums with El Camaron de La Isla, he recorded with Chick Corea, John McLaughlin, Larry Coryell and Al Di Meola. With his sextet he’s been modeling his style to perfection.

Creo que paco fue paco asta el años 2000 y bueno su último trabajo cositas buenas.. ya en esta época no podía con la guitarra dejo su legado claro.. a qui es un verdadero desastre .. claro no deja de ser quien es.. y si tendría tendría que pagar lo volvería hacer pero ya por fanatismo.. en estos tiempos 2006 asta el propio tomate le daba por cuello por muchos palos vicente amigo musicalmente con lo clásico y flamenco con algo de rock dando conciertos extraordinarios con mucha calidad.. ahora si hablamos del fines de los 90 claro paco asta el 70 fue lo mejor.... hoy día nadie toca ya como esas generaciones ni tocan ni tocaran.. eso fue lo máximo.. hoy infinidades de armonías técnica picados trémulo pero sin un significado.. el cante ni hablar da pena..

Love the dynamics in this recording. But, I don't get why the upload is so low in volume, plenty of headroom left to not mess up dynamics,or use compression.Once any advertisement or new video pops up, and you forget the volume knob-> it's going to blow your head off if you have a decent set of speakers. My girlfriend REALLY doesn't like it, let's say it that way. 🙄
