Grisha Goryachev is as great as any flamenco player who's ever picked up the instrument and I have been playing and listening to others play this instrument, the guitar, the king of all musical instruments for a half century. He is phenomenal.

Everyone has different techniques. Hes great at playing flamenco but if you tell him to play a piece from joe pass or wes montgomery he wont get it as good as others who play in the style of jazz.

I got to hear him in Austin TX a few years ago right after Paco’s passing, in his honor he played many of his mentor’s pieces. Trust me as good as these videos are they do not do justice to his skill and preciseness. It was an awesome evening 👏👍

Playing flamenco like this, being able to play Paco de Lucia's songs, is an amazing accomplishment. Most people, no matter how much they played and practiced, would never be able to play his impossibly technical music. And all he is doing here is showing his skills. Probably just some of his favorite songs. I would like to request a song by Paco de Lucia, impetu. One of my favorites, and an early example of his genius ability. He actually faced ridicule for altering the song. Follow Paco and do not listen to the nay sayers, follow your heart. It's why we were watching this video. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I am in shock that anyone down voted this. Yes he made a few mistakes, but good grief, I play fast, and well, and if I tried playing as fast as he did, it would have been many mistakes. Simply a phenomenal performance of an extremely complicated rendition of a spectacular piece of music. I am simply amazed.

A Russian ( I may be wrong) doesn't process emotion the way we do in the west, and surely externalising emotion when playing guitar, especially with the level of complex beauty of the guitar strings being woven exquisitely at a gravity defying pace and the pin-precise cadence of chords pouring into the air, melting into the ears, and hearts of the listener, this right here is something subliminal. As a guitar player myself (of course not yet up to the playing skill on display here), yet when the thrill of the notes and chords ensemble hits you, the emotional state is so powerful it becomes almost ecstatic, and difficult to express in physical form because the boundless joy that arrests one's soul in that moment can only be felt in the godspot of the spiritual realm. Grisha plays guitar like a Greek god
