Hatton was just being real in this interview. He's just building confidence for himself and for his fans and at the same time he talked good things about Pacquiao if you pay close attention. He even said its not going to be a decision cause him and Manny are going for a KO. Meaning it could go either way. Hatton is a very nice guy and humble.

1) He compared Malignaggi's speed to Pacquiao's speed. 2) He's always emphasizing that he's the biggest guy Manny will face (if only he knows at that point that he is actually the smallest that Manny will fight in the succeeding 10 years or so). 3) He thinks Manny has zero defense. 4) He belittles Manny's power based on the fact that it was only Manny's 2nd fight at 140+. My god, nearly everything he said in this interview shows how ill-prepared his mindset and expectation were. He was basically walking into that fight in a bubble of illusions. That's how bad it was. Crazy.
@navyblu794 жыл бұрын
Be kind to Hatton. It's been years. Of course he thinks he'll win. He's never faced anyone like Manny at this time. He gave it all in the ring. Respect to him.

I love the Pac Attack, but at the time of this interview, Hatton made some good points. Pacman fought once at 135lbs, and then once at 147lbs. Hatton was his first and only fight at 140lbs. We all know what happened in the end, but imagine other fighters doing the same thing would not be as successful. I also favour Lomachenko as a boxer, but at 140lbs, I think he would get eaten alive. Pacman is naturally a smaller dude, he eats breakfast the day of his weigh ins at 147lbs. But at 140lbs I think he would have had tonnes of knock outs. But 147lbs is where the money fights are.I respect Ricky and he did say his words could come back and bite him in the butt. He even said that no one really knows until the fight happens.

Paulie is an average boxer comparing to Pacquiao who is an expert.. People overlook the fact that Pacquiao is skilled and refined because his movements and force are quick and ought to be thought as wild. every single time pacquiao touches the opponents face, it's either like a blade or like a bat.
