Very cool tie. These things look like candy! I haven't gotten bold enough to buy these fluorescent colored beads yet but after watching this, I might have to. Thanks for another great video! Cheers.

Thanks a million, Matt. I don't use them often, but they work great for the dirty water. It's great to have you stop by the channel. All the best!

Thanks for stopping in, John Walker. The bright beads should work well in dirtier water. Cheers and Keep a hook in your vise!

Thanks Darren, excellent tutorial, excellent techniques throughout! All 3 ties were great looking! I can see those variants easily tied on lead head jigs. I know Mustad has heavy duty 90* jig hooks in small sizes and pre-molded with the lead heads. Many other manufacturers have the hooks as well. BTW, the Nightmare I described with the hackled extendended body was on Fish and Forage. I still don't know what "twitching" is in fishing those Nightmares. Some are very heavy! Great to see you up and running again :o) Although I do miss your movie production intro, time to get the popcorn kinda thing :o) But I really like your in real time panning in and out of the shot in this one. Looks like you do it manually, really adds personality to the tutorial, at least in my opinion. Well I hope this note doesn't go AWOL ;o) Cheers

@@PiscatorFlies Hey no problem, I'd rather see 6 in the can vs 1 :o) They're ALL good! The "in the round" style of this pattern is good on a jig, imho, and the way you hide the "neck" with a dubbed and/or hackled collar on your beadhead patterns is aesthetically pleasing and makes for a smooth transition from the head to the body. I'm sure the fish don't mind, I've caught them, but I don't like the looks of a skinny thread collar on a jig. On my favorite bucktail pattern, the ones I tied with a thick thread collar that had the same diameter as the 1/4 oz head, provided a smooth tear drop minnow silhouette that was very productive. Your jig project sounds like a fun experiment. I don't know if you're gearing them toward spin, fly, or both methods of fishing - but I know it'll be great! Cheers BTW - off the top of my head here's 3 of my favorite jig/fly/"lure" tiers: Michael Jensen, Gunnar Brammer, smalljaw. Ruben Martin (awesome guy :o) tied some heavy fly / lure crossovers that could be fished on BIG fly rigs or spin tackle. bon appetit! :o()

Nice looking flies as always. Very hard to decide which color I like best! I noticed that you had something new in yellow attached to your vice , could you please give a description. Always interested in your modifications as the have helped me out greatly in the past. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!!!!

Steve- that's a vise pawn (I think by Loon). I haven't used one but they're magnetic clips for holding material out of the way. Darren- would love to hear what you think of using it...

@@SavageFlies Matt thanks for the input. I do have a few mods to my material holder. Always looking to explore new ideas to combine with my own our tyers. Have a great day!

Yes, that's a Vise Pawn as Matt mentioned. As long as you have a vise with metal steel it'll work for you. My Mongoose has a mix of steel, aluminum and plastics, but the jaws are steel and that works for me. I mostly use it to pin down trailer hooks while i tie. It keep the hook secure so I don't get a finger stabbed lol. Cheers

@@PiscatorFlies Thanks Darren! That is a great idea. I will give itva try on my Mongoose as well.
