When I was obese, unhealthy, and pre diabetic my only hobby was shooting and still hunting and had a very good offhand aim. I can get consistent hits on a 1 inch swing target at 50 meters and on the bench with just a bipod I remember effortless shooting on targets up to 180meters away. And these are with barely customized rigs, only the triggers were worked on to give a lighter pull and on the semi a heavy entry level barrel was installed. I had to change my lifestyle though, now I’m on strict clean keto, I.F., jiujitsu(prepandemic), and I excercise a lot, I lost my steady aim as my metabolism increased and probably because of more caffeine I now take for my workouts. Even with highly customized rigs it’s now hard for me to do the things I did before. Miss the steady aim but I now feel better and had to learn the fine details on how to shoot better with technique and better equipment... still can’t do what I did before but I’d take health over steady aim since I can enjoy hiking and shooting more.😆

Hey Womfat, just a couple things, stage 4 starts in the prone position no transition from standing. On stage 4 target 3 I think the dropped shot was a 8 not 6 so plus 2. If you want a real challenge, shoot the rapid MQT, load 4 mags with 10rounds. No mag changes total time all in one string of 4 minutes. Start standing, stage 1, shoot 10, stage 2 transition to sitting shoot 5 and 5, stage 3 transition to prone shoot 3,3,4, then stage 4 stay prone shoot 2,2,3,3.

Not trolling but I thought it was called Appleseed not Mapleseed but I could be wrong
@Womfat2 жыл бұрын
It usually is, but here in Canada the American Appleseed course was reworked and named Mapleseed for us.

also known as "CA seated". Made famous by some shooters who could do YOGA and "sit" in an almost prone position. Was happening in PRS shooting before the PRS existed

Yeah, Kevin mentioned he got it from somwhere. Very interesting!

what sling are you using ?

It’s one I made myself for the Mapleseed course. Works well for offhand shooting and has a quick length adjustment and arm loop.
