I removed half of every other beat, and now it's in 6/8 time. maanegal.dk/songtwister tiktok.com/@maanegal / @maanegal maanegal_media

Sounds more like a skipping CD

It works well for the instrumental, but not the vocals, there has to be a way to make this smoother You can prob do this by editing the vocals and instrumental seperately.

Yeah, you're completely right. However, splitting the audio into layers and then rejoining them would add even more complexity, and the sound quality would probably suffer a lot from the process. Since this trick works by removing parts of each bar, it would still mean that some of the vocal track would be removed. But simply offsetting the cut points for the vocals and the instrumental might make it smoother. Maybe I'll try it, if I find the time to mess around with stem splitting. That could also just open up for other gimmicks

@@maanegal Thank you for the well put together response. Yeah I figured this will result in a lot of work that might not even in a significantly better version. Good to have that confirmed though

@@hansbauer5997 Well, thank you for your thoughtful comment. I just did a few tests with separating the song into tracks, processing them separately, and them stacking them again. It actually wouldn't be too hard to put into the workflow, and the sound quality afterwards is good enough. But to make the vocals go from 4/4 time to 6/8 time, something must be cut, so the issue with choppy vocals remains. And since the instrumental sounds fine cut up, it doesn't help much to move the cut points in the vocal. It's almost like these songs weren't meant to be in 6/8 time...
