What's amazing is that this beautiful film was made for $40 million and it's a work of art that does things $300 million films can't do and that is to make you love it because it's special. The care and inventiveness of it is astounding.

This movie always has ways to resolve an arc/setup. The only thing that kinda left me wanting more was Mr. Curry. I had hoped there will be more of a happier resolution to his character especially since he played a bigger part and having his heart broken by the villain in the first film. But I guess it can be seen that not everyone can change for the better, and that's just another beautiful, honest aspect of this movie and its lessons.

Hugh Grant being in the film is even more hilarious and fitting when you find out that Paul King and the writers literally wanted to call the character’s first name Hugh and completely play into the stereotype of IRL Hugh Grant having played virtually the same character in most of his movies.

Paddington 2 is literally perfection. Not only does it take place in London which is one of the most beautiful places in the world. But the pacing, the character's, the story. IT'S SO GOOD. The amount of attention to detail is insane. I love all the animated segments and really well done shots in the movie. My favourite shot is when Paddington and Aunt Lucy are in the pop-up book of London. It looks so magical and must have taken forever to make. Paddington 2 deserves the score it got on Rotten Tomatoes because it's a MASTERPIECE. Paddington 2 is such a happy movie and it even does really well with the sad moments. What a wonderful film.rt
