Interesting, and I'll out myself, that's my post. I appreciate the fact that I wasn't quite ripped apart, thank you. I'm nearing 1000m on the new setup with no issues. We used an Autel MaxiPro Elite to clear the misfire procedures and clutch settings, and did the manual misfire corrections, coasting from 70-20mph in "D". Driveability and up/down shifting is near perfect, and an improvement from the original stock clutch arrangement. Sure, getting to a dealer is ideal to make use of the AMDS, BUT- it can in most cases successfully be done. It's later models where disconnecting the battery does not automatically clear misfire/clutch "kiss" and the AMDS becomes more important, but again, the Autel has provisions to do that in the system.

So true about “full service history “ I always go through and do the lot. I just purchased a motorcycle with all the service stamps and have started my go through and couldn’t get the suspension linkages apart for ages as they were so corroded, service history my arse !

Very sound advice..and exactly what I'm doing with my V8V. I've bought the car. I could see oil and filter were new when I bought it,.given the fresh golden oil ..so Ive driven it quite alot. Now a few months later, its getting all new fluids and filters, plugs etc...so I categorically know they have been done, despite it having a full history. I've lost count of the number of full dealer serviced prestige cars I've come to service with old date stamps on filters. fuel filter bingo is always a favourite!.

Nice advice Mike. I've done all the things you suggest to my V8 but I also fitted the GT4 filters. The reason behind this was more to do with potential for damage to the standard air boxes. Talking to owners and indie garages highlighted the airboxes can be prone to damage from the underside meaning many have broken fixing points etc. as they are large items.

Well...Great info like always, a bit disappointed that I won't be able to purchase the twin plate clutch for my V8VS from you being in US. I been trying to call the shop about the Phase 1 upgrade.

Is there a system besides AMDS that can do the updates necessary? Here in the US, it can be hundreds of miles to the nearest dealer.

I have a Sportshift 2008 Vantage, always wondered that when stationary and the gear indicator displays "I" is 1st gear actually engaged and the clutch depressed throughout the duration? Should "N" be selected. Just ask as effectively the clutch would be engaged causing a lot of unnecessary wear?

Hi! I got an 11 N420 Vantage and tpms sensors are going bad and although they’re still reading the tire pressures the yellow tire light is illuminated. I heard they’re plug and play in these year model vehicles so they don’t need to be coded to each tire so can I just buy some online and have any tire store fit them or do I need to get the expensive ones from the Aston Martin dealer and have them installed? I’m in Tampa Florida so any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

There is a video of Mike answering a similar question I had... I wanted the system deleted but no one will do it here in the US (Liability I'm sure)... I have read about some aftermarket sensors that work but I don't find much info about it. I have a 2011 V8VS and just purchased the TPMS sensors from the dealer. For 2011 they should automatically link to the cars TPMS computer. I'm at Stuart FL.

@@HarryESwan Cheers mate! Thanks for the help and I’ll check with my dealer here in Pinellas Park FL...Did you install them yourself or have tire shop do it? Thanks

@@CryptoCamChannel I will have the shop do it... The only way to do it is breaking the tire and wheel bead and forcing the tire pass the sensor. Not taking it to the dealer, just to very nice shop that deals with nice wheels and stuff.

I had the same issue on my 12 V8VS. I bought a set of brand new Huf RDE011 sensors from eBay for around 120 USD and had them fitted by a local tyre shop. They synced immediately and have been flawless since. Im pretty certain the official AM ones are the same unit rebranded. Hope that helps
