Deja and I drove from our home in Mammoth up to Silver Lake for another amazing day out paddleboarding. Silver Lake is on the June Lake Loop, which is highway 158, located on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. We paddled around the shallow bays where red-winged blackbirds are heard and seen as they mate and nest in the tall wet grass along the shores. Over on the east side of the lake we enter Rush Creek aka the lazy river, where the water is calm and the paddling is easy. With the amazing mountain views, tall pines, and lush meadows its such a spectacular place to be. After enjoying that we paddled around the lake, along the aspen lined shore to the outlet, then back across the lake to where we started. Great views of Carson Peak and Horsetail Falls. We highly recommend anyone looking for fun summer activities get out on this lake for kayaking or SUP. There are usually people out on boats fishing also. Thanks for watching, hope you get out there some time!
Deja and I both use inflatable paddle boards made by TUSY, but I'm not exactly sure which models or sizes we got. We ordered them online at the beginning of last summer, used them a bunch last year, and have been very happy with them. They seem to be holding up well so far. It's nice having them pack down into backpacks, which makes them much easier to transport and store over the winter. The straps on the backpack seem a bit weak but the boards work fine, we haven't had any issues with them at all so far. Very glad we got them, good value boards. So thats my short review on TUSY paddleboards!
