Only in Minnesota can you go in one weeks time. From cold camping 🏕 under a tarp in a snowstorm ❄️. To kayaking in a tee-shirt on a warm sunny ☀️ day. Ellie sure took it easy and enjoyed the river as much as I did. The swans and the geese were the high lights as you paddled down the river. Thank you, Jack.

I enjoyed the boat trip on the river with Ellie aboard. The scenery was pretty and so were the otter, trumpeter swans and geese. Glad to see Riley and Olivia along and I can't get over how much Olivia is growing. A little camper, hiker and all around adventurer in the making.

Ok Jack we get it...we know ELL is the best girl dog in the world. Love how she closes her eyes and takes in that breath. I have to remind myself at times to stop and do this. Another wonderful meditation on simplicity. I grew up in the Midwest and learned that, while it lacks the grand vistas of the west, there is a peaceful beauty to the region and you tap into that so well with these little excursions in the immediate area of your home. What looks superficially boring and same- the landscape, and the excursions, are somehow imbued with a high level of peace and calm which are almost completely absent on the web and in our lives. I don't miss any of these videos for that reason. They slow me down, remind me of my love of God, and make me appreciate the riches of the Midwest. This from an ex-pat who has not lived in the US since 2011.
