Impressive! Was a pleasure to watch this video. Here in Europe, Poland, canoeing isn't very popular. I've never seen WW canoeing here. One question: how do you call this thing you're knelling on in the boat? PAX

Would you feel comfortable in the same situation with your Penobscot 16? How do you feel the two compare on rivers? Thanks!
@canoeing2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! I also have a Penobscot 16. This canoe is not suitable for eddy catch because it has more straightness than rotation. However, it is suitable for downrivers due to its round bottom.

What kin of hat do you wear? I am searching for one with more coverage from the sun but that can get wet. Amazing channel!!

Thank you for your question. My hat is Wilderness Village×tent-Mark DESIGNS Wilderness Hat made in Japan. It is also sold on Amazon, but it does not ship overseas. I will let you know the Amazon link.
@@canoeing Thank you. I looked it up. Its a great looking hat. I think we have similar designs here in the US.

Is your Camper your only canoe? You do great things in it. I have an old town osprey 140
@canoeing2 жыл бұрын
Thanks FlavorMan. I have two Campers. I also have a Penobscot 16. I know the Osprey 140 exists, but I haven't actually seen it. It is rarely imported in Japan.

It’s short and fat, but it handles rapids pretty well. Wonder how much it would cost to get me and my boat to some of these rivers in Japan?

@@flavorman9159 Thank you for your question. I'm sorry, I don't know the cost of shipping the boat. Where does Flavorman live?

What is the length of the Camper? 15 or 16 feet?
@canoeing Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question. My Camper is 16 feet.
@kenellison2137 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I'm looking at a used 16 footer for lake camping and class 1 to low class 2 river travel. I would be using it as a solo with a total load of roughly 400 lbs. I had a 15 footer in mind, but yours seems quite agile. Of course, I assume that's more about your skill level than the canoe! Maybe the 16 would work?
@canoeing Жыл бұрын
We recommend 16ft based on your usage. The reason is that a larger loading space is advantageous in an emergency. If you install a flotation bag on a river canoeing, the loading space will become smaller. Also, the 16ft canoe has a beautiful shape. The advantage of the 15ft is that it is light and has good turning and maneuverability.
