Haha that was Paddy's tactic to get a lil break, you saw and heard the old man telling him to just keep fighting. This is a prime example of don't judge a book by it's cover, while fatty had youth and power on his side the old man had experience and stamina on his, to me he was letting fatty tire himself out and you see this at the end when the old man noticed paddy was really exhausted he lay rite into him and this is why the camera man who I'm sure is Paddy's dad tells him to start fighting dirty.
