Padmini Kolhapure on Raj Kapoor: "I was doing 4-5 films with Rishi Kapoor. He told me my role was so nice and what was he doing in the film. Rishi was so brilliant in Prem Rog that people remember him just as much as they remember me. It's a habit one forms. I didn't feel any different maybe because I started young. In Prem Rog, Shammi Unvle, Tanuja and Kulbhushan Kharbanda were there. I keep absorbing. I have that nature. If someone performs well, I learn from there. Since I have been working since childhood, I have this quality. I learned from all of them. Even Raj Uncle. He used to call me to his cottage and say 'What are you doing? Go and watch this film on mine'. He had his theater. I was sitting all along in the theater and seeing Joker and Awaara. Then he's call me back.
Padmini Kolhapure (born 1 November 1965) is an Indian actress and singer, who works primarily in Hindi films. She began acting in 1972 at the age of 7, and her early works included Zindagi (1976) and Dream Girl (1977). She then had her breakthrough with the film Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978), starring as Young Roopa.
At the age of fifteen, Kolhapure won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the revenge drama Insaf Ka Tarazu (1980), and at the age of seventeen, won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the tragic romance Prem Rog (1982), thus becoming the second-youngest actress to win the awards in the respective categories. She was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Souten (1983) and also received another Filmfare Award for Best Actress nomination for Pyar Jhukta Nahin (1985). - Wikipedia
