@KCPraisesHim Thanx for the compliments Kevin, We have and do ship to Canada. So far we haven't had a problem with the shipping process (touch wood). We buy boxes which are a good size for our violin cases and pack them really well. Does Heinrich Gill also make their violins in left handed version?

Love your "shootouts". Gill has a much "smaller" sweet sound compared to the Paesold. Solo-wise, I'd choose the sound of the Paesold. Can't tell about response which to me, is almost more important that the "voice".

Interestingly, I just bought a Paesold violin (don't know the model or year of making and it's still with the luthier) that I chose because it was the quietest and had the "mellowest" sound of them all (tried about 10 violins). It is, however, about $1800. I would not have bought it actually if it sounded like the one in the video, too loud and too "rough" for my ear.

I haven't seen a left handed Gill violin... and after a quick search on the internet, I think they may not do left handed violins. If I find out otherwise, I'll let you know. Rich
