Paganini wrote a great deal of guitar music both with and without the violin, bringing together the two instruments he played so well. Paganini played these works with the guitarist/violinist Luigi Legnani who, it is said, finally protested that he always had the easy guitar parts, whilst Paganini enjoyed the violinistic limelight. However, when Paganini produced his Grand Sonata and gave the violin part to Legnani the roles were doubly reversed; the violin plays such a minor role that it is usually omitted from performances. -- John Duarte, Gramophone

This piece sounds so much like Paganini, yet it is beautiful beyond most of the pieces he has composed.

Honestly, most of my pieces would be a lot more beautiful if performers didn't play them so unmusically and aggressively!

I can't distinguish the theme 1 and 2, and there's no recapitulation in the first movement. This is not a sonata form. The second part of the first movement looks just like a pure variation of the first part. As I said, there's no recapitulation, and not even a coda. This is not a sonata form, man... Thank you for the score btw! I always wanted to analyse this piece.
