Nicole Ryan witchcraft, Wicca and paganism is not devil worshiping, educate yourself before commenting something ignorant
@leazia26985 жыл бұрын
Nicole Ryan Wicca is a complex religion that is often associated with witchcraft, occultism and neo-paganism. Wiccans worship "the mother goddess" and her companion "the horned god." They say both of these deities manifest themselves in nature. They do not worship the devil, nor do they believe in him. Wicca is a nature based religion based on the beliefs practiced by Pagans for thousands of years. Satan is a belief based on Judaio/Christian testaments and the practice of Satanism was taken from that belief. Wiccans do not believe in Hell, heaven nor the original sin and therefore cannot worship.
@harmonymagyck48005 жыл бұрын
Nicole Ryan. First off I was raised Christian. So I know what u believe and where u got it from. But if you and all the other close minded Christians would wake up and actually LISTEN you would realize you have been looking at life all wrong. Don’t get on the internet and try to fight for your god and your religion when you are so very uneducated. 1)paganism was around BEFORE Christ 2) all through history Christians, Catholics, and mainly everyone with an agenda did nothing but use religion to brainwash and CONTROL large masses of people. The inquisition for one example. 3) Jesus himself studied other religions and there is a large portion of his belief system that is based off of BUDDHA!! 4) Jesus’s faith is about LOVE and there is a small handful of people I’ve met my entire life who ACTUALLY LIVE BY LOVE. 99% of the people that follow Christ’s teachings cannot call themselves Christians becuase they do EVERYTHING he warned not to on a daily basis. 5) with every Christian group I meet or encounter u will see the same thing happening. MAN MADE RULES TO CONTROL THAT SPECIFIC CHURCH BODY. 6) I could go on but you sit there and live ur life by a book that you have no proof was written or inspired by God. Men wrote it. And it’s not even complete. Thanks to the men that sat down around the time of the inquisition and DECIDED FOR YOU what was “workable” into thier doctorine. Stop believing what people tell you and do research. Ask questions. Study. And finally 7) the horned god, along with the witches in the witch trials (the few of any that actually were witches) were and still are demonized becuase they believed in freedom and non religious constraints and that defied the reigning religion at the time. Men, societal constructs, etc. are TERRIFIED of what they can’t control. In your Christian Bible Satan is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ANGEL, no where ever is it found that he had horns. You know why? Becuase in order to strike fear and control in the followers, and to ensure the propaganda was bought, the religious leaders took the face of the pagan god and slapped satans name on him. That’s a historical fact. It’s very similar if not exactaly what the government is doing to the Mexican immigrants today. And one more thing. There are SO many similarities between Christianity and paganism that it’s ignorant to ignore them. For one prayer. Your prayer is THE SAME THING AS OUR MEDITATION AND WITCHCRAFT. When you pray you have, intentions and desired outcomes, you speak out loud about them to a higher power. When we do a potions or a spell or meditate. We have a desired outcome, and we say the intentions outloud. The only difference is we put ACTIONS BEHIND OUT PRAYERS. That’s literally all magic is. Work put behind intentions. Now with all this said yes there is demons and evil spirits and yes it’s important to be educated and safe but there is so much positivity that ur missing and so much self empowerment. Educate yourself before you go around damning everyone to your hell

Scarlet Ravenswood Thank you. I did know of some people who were pagans in Greece and got married in a pagan ceremony outdoors. Their marriage was not considered a legal marriage because it was not performed in the Orthodox Church. I’m in a Facebook group called “I speak Greeklish”, and there was an article about Greek church/state separatists wanting the cross removed from the flag. The Greek Orthodox Christians in the group were like it was Armageddon and they’d all be forced into atheism. I brought it up that the cross on the Greek flag 🇬🇷 is equal armed and to please research the origins of the equal armed cross. The Christian cross is not equal armed. Greek Orthodox Christians also used boiled wheat called Koliva for funerals, but they do not believe in cremation. I became a godmother to my little cousin when I was 15 in the Orthodox Church, and he was tragically killed in 2016. It’s customary to have a 1 year memorial after church, so I called my parents’ priest and asked if I could hold one for my godson despite the cremation. He said that was fine, but because of his cremation, I could not serve Koliva. I’d never talk to him like I talk to the people in that group, but if he’d done his homework, he’d know that Koliva was used as a funerary dish in Greece way long before Christianity. Instead, we brought fruit dishes and my mom served shot glasses of hard liquor called metaxa. One lady had a toothache, and after about 5 shots, she was fine.

Only 10% of Catholicism is foreign to European people (the part about Jesus); otherwise, 90% the same, especially the holidays: Christmas, Easter etc., all pagan in origin. I guess I want to know; does Paganism have grit?

If your character believes in some kind of energy involved in spells ( Qi, The Force, Prana , Mana etc ) , but no deities, he/she would technically be a Nontheist rather than an Atheist. At least if this energy is to be considered beyond empiricism ( i dont consider ”quantum mysticism” science ). It would fall under animatism ( not to be confused with animism since that is more of the ”nature spirits” kind ). Take out the whole midichlorian thing and a Jedi would kinda fit the animatist mindset. 🤺

My mom's family is Cajun Catholic, so I grew up around a lot of Catholic tradition, but wasn't exactly raised Catholic. What I've observed is that a lot of Catholic practices overlap with pagan/witchcraft practices (e.g: praying to multiple entities such as saints, angels and Mary, in addition to God; cleansing spaces with incense; lighting candles for prayer; symbolic/ritualistic consumption of flesh and blood in the form of bread and wine for communion; etc.). And, at least among Cajun Catholics, you'll find it's fairly common to blend Voodoo or Hoodoo with Catholic practices. Similar to Santeria in Afro-Latin communities. I just always thought it was ironic that Catholics would condemn witchcraft as evil... without seeming to realize that in some ways they're practicing it... daily.

@Nicole Ryan The type of witchcraft practiced in explanation in the bible is not at all the type of craft a wiccan practices. Generally wiccans do not even believe in the christian god/devil. Real wicca is about healing and helping and being one with nature, now there are satanists that practice witchcraft, but satanism is a religion different from wicca, just as wiccans don't necessarily practice witch craft. Technically, alchemy in many cultures and religion is considered a form of witchcraft. So next time you take some aspirin, know it was discovered by a healer to help people a long time ago, probably by someone who wanted or was "one" with nature. Something Christians believe god created.

@@Xaforn As a non-practicing Catholic I can affirm (by simply searching historical facts/events) yes, the Catholic Church tried to convert the early pagans to Christianity, which was the original teachings of Jesus Christ. The non-denominational Christians will deny this though because they don't even know the history of where they own non-catholic faith originated from (Martin Luther, and the Protestant Reformation). All they do is bad mouth Catholics for being Catholic and original.

So I myself am a teenager, going to be 18 in just mere months...oof...and I have been raised Christian. However, as I have grown and found myself, I have become unsure about my spirituality and have always been interested in the occult and things like witchcraft. Also, just the pure hatred in the Christian religion for centuries and especially today just makes my stomach churn. I hate to be a part of that. I have only recently discovered that there are whole religions based around this kind of stuff and that excited me. Of course, in my family's religon, that's just the stuff to get me damned to hell. @matthewscott10915 жыл бұрын
Rosalind R “Christian Wicca” might be an oxymoron because they’re different faiths. A Christian witch though would just be a Christian person who incorporates parts of the craft into their daily prayer & life in general. Their deity being God, Christ, & the Holy Spirit. They just look at it as a different method of worship. If you think about it look at all of the “unusual” or “unique” things different Christians do that other Christians don’t. Burning incense, chanting, lighting candles, speaking in tongues, praying to Saints, rubbing beads, bowing, kneeling & repeating phrases over & over. As far as interpretation of the word “witch” in the Bible that’s up for debate for so many reasons. Christianity, society, culture, science, to the arts & medicine all have drastically changed over time. Everything evolves including religion & faith (which can be & often are two different things). Not everyone (or every Christian) needs organized religion in order to have faith or a love for God. I’m not Wiccan or a witch but I respect & admire other religious beliefs & cultures. How can we appreciate or respect our own beliefs without opening our eyes to the world around us & the beliefs of others. To each his or her own. ✌🏼

Nicole Ryan Devil hand gestures? You mean the emoji (a little cartoon hand) peace sign? A common way of saying goodbye. Sometimes I’ll give a thumbs up 👍🏻 or a wave 👋🏼 are those evil too? First of all we know that everything in the Old Testament has to be taken with a grain of salt. The old laws were done away with when Christ came & paid the debt for our sins & the Old Testament is full of bizarre, barbaric & horrifying rules, laws, & stories we’d never dream of following today because they’re alien to us. You realize Wicca the religion today only came about in the 1950’s? Long after the Bible. What you think of as “witchcraft” probably wouldn’t even be recognized by a shaman or witch hundreds, thousands of years ago. Trying to consult the Bible with regards to modern day Wiccan practices because the word “witch” is in it is like trying to figure out which healthcare plan you should pick by referencing scripture because people were healed in the Bible. The two things are so far apart and loosely related it doesn’t make sense to compare the two. You really think all of the lovely, kind hearted & well intentioned Wiccans, pagans etc in the world are secretly worshipping Satan? (Who they don’t even believe in?). You also missed my point on faith & religion. Faith in Jesus, accepting Him into your heart, trusting him as your Lord & Savior is what matters. Religions are man made institutions. I was emphasizing the importance of faith & making a point that Christians around the world worship & pray in a multitude of ways. We also disagree with one another on a multitude of issues. Hence the many, many denominations of churches around the world. I don’t “do witchcraft” or anything remotely close to it. I was simply stating that I know that there are Christians out there who incorporate herbs, oil, incense, candles (Catholicism) into their worship & If That helps them feel closer to God then good for them. A Christian who’s secure in their faith doesn’t go around telling others, “Oh you’re evil because you pray like this” or “I’m a real Christian not a fake Christian like you.” We’re to be more like Christ our Savior, not the Pharisees. 💛

@@camo770 it's actually intensely difficult to find out about this matter namely because in the culture of Welsh paganism and Welsh racial behaviour, it is a fiercely protected thing. Nearly all welsh pagans have the belief that unless you are on the native, you can go and get stuffed, essentially. The love and the pride that surrounds our indigenous, as you probably know and experience, is completely profound. Nothing undermines it, and, due to this, next to nothing is written on the internet about it. What you can do is get in touch with the British OBOD (Welsh, scottish, Irish, French, Spanish and some Scandinavian) bards, druids and Ovates and see if you can form a inquiry into how you would like to learn. I should add, that this procedure depends on whether the OBOD representative ypu speak to approves of you (not in a nasty sense, just, what us quite a tribal sense). If not, it's best form some friend and relationships with pagan people themselves who can teach you. Oh, and another thing - for Welsh pagan peoples, our native is now regarded as it's own indigenous, so, the association with the words Celt or Celtic brings a bad mood, essentially. Celt or Celtic is seen to be used for the terminology of Scottish, and Irish peoples, which are their own native, and, then, for Welsh, Cymry or Bretonic Cymry :)
@camo7704 жыл бұрын
@@teahoskin7457 oh my gosh you have no idea how helpful this is. I'm not sure what the OBOD is or anythjng but I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the video. For a little bit, I have been curious about these three and what the difference is. A lot from what I have been getting is that not all Wiccans are witches and not all witches are Wiccan, but I haven't really got a real big major difference between the two. As someone who grew up in a mostly Christian household, all the information I got from it is that if you do paganism or witchcraft you'll be sent to Hell and that it was the worship of the devil. After doing my own research, it turned out they were wrong. The horned god and the Devil were two different entities. It started to make me wonder if Christians were wrong about that what else they could be wrong on. Don't take this as me shitting on Christianity, as I do understand everyone has their own beliefs, and as long as you're not causing any harm or start up a bad thing, I don't think being Christian is bad. My problem with it is that I don't feel happy with being one. Every time I question something in the Bible, or the religion as a whole, the answers given tend to be, in short, because God said so, or it tends to end up having someone say that I should just have more faith and stop thinking about it too much. I'm considering becoming a Wiccan because it seems it rewards curiosity more than Christianity does. I don't like the idea of blind faith and hope I am right in the end. I do still think there is an overruling entity like God or maybe the Horned God and Wiccan goddess. But in the end, religion is something, at least for me, that gives me hope and has a reward in the end after my journey. And as someone once said, it's about the journey, not just the destination. And since Christianity doesn't make me feel happy, I am going to explore other religions and hope one does. Wicca looks to be one that isn't that bad, that the bottom line is, as long as you're not a shitty person and don't harm people you'll be fine. I'm sure there are probably other rules too, which is why I am still in the learning stages. I wouldn't even consider myself a baby witch. More like a witch that hasn't even been out of the balls yet. So yeah, can't wait to learn more uwu

I am born and raised a Christian but I am exploring other possibilities after I had a weird personal experience. I am looking for a religion that - embodies personal emotion and energy and embraces it, or even uses it as empowerment. I do not necessarily believe in a greater being (though this may change) but thinking of a god and goddess as being metaphors or depictions of male and female energies is appealing to me. I want a "customizable" experience with religion where I can choose which aspects I believe (like aforementioned, maybe the god/goddess is just a metaphor) without being ""shunned"" from the religion or "wrong." I want this to be very personal as in I cannot affect others with it. I can maybe ""bless"" myself but I cannot affect others with hexes, magic, or any other term for an incantation of sorts. It's a personal growth belief if that makes any sense??? Any idea on what I could start to label this with and how to get started? I think it suited Witchcraft the most but I am not sure I believe with the whole "changing things with energy" since I believe you can only change yourself. Or maybe you can change something else if they are willing (much like hypnosis).

Well, I'm just speaking for myself, cause we all have a different view on it. But I choose my two patron deities, Týr and Freyja. I just felt closer to them two than any other Norse deities. But that is just my feeling about it.

My two matron deities are Bast (Egyptian,) and Brighid (Irish.) If your heart connects with them, that is what matters.

8:49 I'm pretty sure those who say you have to be initiated into a coven to qualify as a witch are the same people who use Wicca/witchcraft interchangeably as though they're the same thing. And like, this discounts any solitary witch. If you're a solitary witch, what need have you to be initiated into a coven?
