The frustration going into an untowered airport here drives me nuts. Sometimes you just have to break off in order to stay safe. I've had some issues in the past. People don't answer or refuse to talk or even worse, cut you off. I've had that happen in Arcadia, I wasn't happy about it but i just stayed silent. With the population booming in Florida it's high time for some of these airports to have part time towers set up. I usually fly down to Bartow to fill up as it's less traffic than Winter Haven and has a tower!
