Thank you for this review! During my last concert the AirTurn started to flip multiple pages on one tap!!! It was a near disaster, but someone in the audience was a pianist and manually turned for the second half. They told me they use Firefly and have never had a problem. Do you happen to know if there is a setting, either on the ipad or on the firefly pedal, to NOT allow more than one turn before a certain length of time, like 1 or 2 seconds, has gone by? I heard that a setting like this might exist.... Once in a while I double tap inadvertently. If this device is better for me, I will gladly divorce my airturn (actually already have).

Sorry to hear about that experience - that must've been terrifying and frustrating. I don't know of a setting to prevent that. Glad you've found a solution that works for you.

You seem to being trying to find fault, the reason for batteries is entirely intentional, to prevent failure during in a recital

Hey Tim, thanks for your video. I have a question, I’ve have just bought one firefly and I wanted to know if in yours both pedals are at the same level because what I see is that the left pedal is a bit more high than the right so, the press feeling is different, not huge but remarkable. I would appreciate your opinion and experience, thanks Tim

Hrmmm I don’t remember noticing this. Did you email them to ask? Maybe one side has become slightly dislodged?

Do you have to have for score to work it. I have photos of music on my iPad. Will it scroll through screens in photo album

Hi! I’ve got some problems with my pedal. I’m using it with my iPad, and it’s a very common thing that I am unable to connect the pedal with my IPad. When it happens it’s perfectly fine, and sometimes it connects immediately. But usually it is a hard process. Any suggestions?

Hi Tim, very helpful video, thanks for that. Also an interesting usecase for the pedal: We use the pageflip pedal to switch powerpoint slides, which are flipped with our PPT mirror software (see www.ppt-mirror.com). The software flips powerpoint presentations so that they can used in a passive teleprompter (combination of a half-mirror glass, box and iPad). And that way the pedal is very helpful: You can record your sales or educational video and switch from one slide to another. We also recommend your video to our users to understand how it works - thanks for producing this video. All the best, Ralf

1:12 - *three* AA batteries? I was upset, when you were trying to connect pedal without power it on first. ) "Repeat" switch ON: press and hold down pedal, and you will turn multiple pages until you will release the pedal. Like on normal computer keyboard, when you keeping pressing any key, you'll get multiple symbols. Not recommended for musicians. Switch it OFF. I knew all this even before I got my pedal, because I always at least study a little product before giving money for it (not to mention to make video for other people, if you want to make useful and informative video). If you have some questions about this pedal or forScore app, just let me know. ) In some cases simple and quick changing of batteries can be better than charging the pedal for 1.5-2 hours. You can get this type of batteries literally anywhere. And batteries will last for months. So, I don't see problem here.

Thx for that info, I agree with yout on the battery issue and wanted to add that I really like the fact that there is no li-ion accu used in the pageflip because it is simply not necessary and would be a total waste in ressources, so for me its a plus not a minus.

This is a fine tool for musicians. I utilize one, and readily recommend it to any musician who needs hands-free access and operation of music scores, chord/lyric charts, etc. You just need to set it up for your personal needs. It can also be powered via USB, if using a cable isn't an issue, or if batteries are an aggravation.. A fine multi-use product, in my experience.
