PAI Vertical Roller Mill Training

In this training module, we'll cover the operation of a vertical roller mill. This mill is commonly used in the cement industry in order to grind raw feed.
We'll describe the general arrangement of the mill, the principle of operation, and provide detailed descriptions of the major components of the mill and the role that each component plays in the overall operation.
You'll learn how the mill feed is fed onto a rotating table, where pressure generated between the rollers and table crushes and grinds the raw feed.
We’ll also look at the mechanism by which hot gases, directed vertically from the bottom of the mill, entrain and dry the ground feed as the feed is swept up into the rotating classifier, how coarser oversize material is directed back down onto the table for further grinding, and how sufficiently ground, finer material continues up through the classifier and out of the mill.
Plant-specific computer-based training modules also cover critical process variables, the associated automatic process control loops, complex interlocks, as well as details on alarm response procedures.
