There are obviously several people who surely deserve prison sentences for this...very long ones at that (a regular citizen surely would). These people are held at a much higher standard in their positions. If that doesn't happen. I am certain that a huge amount of the population will be very upset knowing that their lives were ruined these last 9 years and everyone got away with no punishment.

Any reputable consultant would have his or her own records of their activities and would not need to seek the documents of their customer to ascertain what they did. That a contractor would need to see their client's records would indicate to me that there was some disagreement in the records of each party. That could be construed as a cover up of untoward behaviour on the part of either party. Given the Trudeau government's record over the past ten years the only reasonable assumption, pending the discovery of actual evidence, is that a coverup has occurred and that is an indication of something that needed to be hidden from view - a crime. I sincerely doubt that there is a single lib/NDP MP who is not involved in criminal activity using the parliamentary seat as a cover. O'Gorman is just another in a long, long list of criminals covering up her own or her cronies crimes in the lib/NDP cabal.
