There is a little bit too much hype around Paige. She is very good as far as handling the ball, passing, court vision and is a good shooter. Nothing we haven’t seen before. Based on what I’ve seen, she needs to improve as a defender in a half court game and can be stronger on both sides of the court. She will also meet much quicker players at the college level and need to improve on her own quickness on both offense and defense. Don’t get me wrong, I really like what I am seeing. But she should be allowed to grow and continue to develop as a player and take her game to even higher level. All the talks about how she is going to change the game like a Steph Curry or LeBron James is premature and does her a disservice.

She admitted that she needs to work on defense. But if you watch the UConn games, you can definitely tell she is already improving. So maybe you should watch more of her game before you say she has too much hype.
