Paige Truax helped IUP softball sweep Clarion in their series this past weekend, pushing the Crimson Hawks to a 6-5 record in conference play.
Truax had an all-around performance against Clarion this weekend, helping bring IUP two much needed wins.
Truax went a combined 4-for-6 in two games Sunday while also contributing two RBIs and five runs.
Truax is an all-out threat on the bases. She ranks third on the team in runs with 23 and second in stolen bases with seven.
The outfielder returns to IUP for her junior campaign after setting the single season program record for stolen bases with 28 in 2023.
Truax is tied for the fourth most stolen bags in IUP history with 43 matching Monica Iachini, who last played for the Crimson Hawks in 2012.
IUP currently sits in the fourth spot in the PSAC West Division, just behind Gannon. Truax and the Hawks will take on Slippery Rock on Tuesday continuing into conference action.
