Paignton Station Tour

Welcome to Episode 23 of Station Feature! Today I am at Paignton on the Riviera Line. Today we see a steam platform, a shed and a level crossing from high up as well as having an interview with Kiya from Kiya's Train Videos and Charlie from Charlie's Railway Photography. I hope you enjoy!

During the war and the late 40s when traveling down from London when nearing Paignton we were told to move to the front of train as this was the only part the fitted into the station the rest of the train was left out over the level crossing, no long platform then.

So trains arrive at platform 2 aswell? Or platform 1 because that goes in the opposite direction?

As the DSR's 'Wild West' station is extremely cramped they've taken over the NetworkRail Platform 1 building for use as a toilet block and what fine toilets they are too housed in an original 1900's standardised GW building
