When I was a kid a trip to Auckland from Paihia took more than five hours. These days with the road improvements it only takes about 3.5 hours.

I enjoyed your suitably slow-paced, gently-narrated video. I will look at some more of your videos. Just a comment from one "white" NZer, me: You saying, "When we white people came over here and signed a treaty.." jarred ever so slightly slightly and made me think a lot about political correctness, which I normally despise. Of course, you are blameless. As a traveller you cannot be expected to know the local, contemporary view.
