The reason why Jinx’s weapon was not glitching while Cait’s and Vi’s where is that in 11:18 you can see that Jinx’s weapon has a switch where she can switch between two modes, at first the weapon is just a normal rocket launcher that just shoots a normal non-hextech rocket while after the switch she fires a hextech rocket which indeed gets glitched and and backfires on her. At least that’s what I got out of that scene.

14:08 Just to highlight something I found very interesting about Jinx in this scene: We know Cassandra had actually already built the ventilation system and that is why the people of the underground could breathe better air but Caitlyn slowly rereleased it from the big tank it was supposed to be left in. She used it the opposite way of how her mother captured it. Then in this scene, Sevika (following Jinx's plan) releases all the air that carries The Grey to the surface so that it cannot be used against Zaun. Piltover has more open air so it didn't affect them a lot though but at least the underground is safe from that now Jinx said it wasn't supposed to be this way because she had wanted to do this as an act of when she dies because she was ready to die in the fight. She had told Sevika to release it after that happens as a final good act (and a goodbye) from her. I truly believe that in episode 2, when Jinx says 'to finish what's left of my family,' she is referring to herself. Let's remember that Jinx always plans to die; let's not forget the scene with Ekko. She herself confirms it: 'Cause no matter what I do, I just can't seem to die.' It seems like she is a jinx to everyone except herself. I guess in the next act we will see how this action of Jinx (who didn't plan to be alive to see it) impacts the population of Zaun and herself

So it all would be a reaction to Victor using his new power more than any hextech "regular" use. Which means we'll have an arc of Ekko/Jayce/heimer finding about Viktor and trying to stop him. When on the other side you'll have the vi/jinx/caitlyn plot. Then, is ambessa going to deal with recovering mel ? Or maybe Jayce will join that plotline and then it would mostly be ekko and Viktor on that first (damn, any interaction between ekko heimer and vik are hyping me so bad)

Yeah, I was like you and bracing for some emotional trauma but after rewatching it especially I felt the character development was much more subtle in the way it was presented in act 1 compared to last season, but still really amazing. Random things that I like that I don't think you mentioned: - My impression was that for Jinx this whole act had a subtext of Jinx struggling with whether she even wants to live anymore from the moment we hear Silco's "have you had enough" (callback to his drowning speech where he talks about that "thing" inside you telling you to fight to survive). Also her admitting and feeling like she is a curse to everyone is not something she would ever have said in season 1. That theme tracks into Jinx in this final fight where it kind of seemed to me that on some level she wanted to die in a blaze of glory, she wanted to force them to kill her rather than capturing her, and *maybe* take Vi with her thereby truly "finishing off what is left of my family." i.e. I think she was definitely ALSO referring to finishing off herself when she said that to Sevika. But now I think her relationship with Isha and being symbol of revolution for Zaun will probably give her reasons to live in act 2. - Also they demonstrated a lot of character growth in Jinx in what we didn't see happening... i.e. no Mylo voices, no significant hallucinations at all actually, much less anxiety / freaking out. She was literally more calm than Cait, which Vi even points out. Jinx using the spare parts from the boxing machine Vi used as a kid that she could never beat her on (a symbol of Jinx's inferiority complex and trauma), and using it to fix something and to give it as a thoughtful present to Sevika? That is really symbolic and shows that she facing her trauma at the end of last season on some twisted way really did help her get over some things. - There's a LOT of stuff in the frame by frame of the music video about the squad rounding up/questioning and arresting the other chem barrons and then kind of chasing the trail of bread crumbs left by Jinx that is hard to see on first watch. Sorry for the essay ha, but there's so many little details like this that are cool about this act. Those are just the few I could think of off the top 😆

I have a feeling that Vi's arc in act 2 is going to revolve around an encounter with Warwick, the ultimate manifestation of a loved one being turned into a monster by this broken city and its worst manipulators, into someone who is willing to hurt her despite the deep love that existed/still exists between them And I think this could eventually result in her being in the right mental state to begin repairing her relationships with both Cait and Jinx, if THEY are also able to recover from their own downward spirals and can prove they are changing and becoming better versions of themselves who wouldn't do that again

The gun jinx used to shoot the missile wasn't affected by hextech thing because its not the gun with hextech. The guns are the same ones she uses in league of legends so they all have names and are easy to tell to players. The machine gun she uses is called PowPow, the one that shot the missile is Fishbones, the one the kid picks up is Zaper, the one with hextech she used last doesn't have a name but the attack is called super mega death rocket.

Two corrections: The pistol is not Zapper, Zapper is clearly Hextech and shoots electricity, her pistol up till this point is just a pretty regular pistol. Custom made by her but clearly not Hextech (remember she only had one Hexgem) also if you watch the teaser for arc2 she HAS what looks like zapper so she must craft it in next arc. The missile laucher its Fishbones, but it IS Hextech, the reason it was not glitched out its because she's initially shooting regular rockets (not hextech powered) just like in the game with Q, you can see her turn on the hextech when she jumps into the air with fishbones (ulting basically), and thats when it glitches out on her and backfires.

One thing nobody talks about is how well people are confronted with what they blame on others and are forced to make a decision thh hv ey flesh blamed on someone else. For example before vi and jinx got into a fight vi said: I thought you would never orphan kids. And vi was ready to kill jinx, but the moment Isha attached to jinx, vi realised that if she allows jinx to die especially in front of isha that would mean. Vi had to admit that she’s fine with orphan kids and let them witnes how enforcers kill their parent or caretaker. Which is one thing that vi told Caitlyn in episode 1 of this season, is the thing that started her hatred for enforcers and cait replied with then show the people in Zaun it’s not always like this What great writing this is And there are also other scenes like this For example vi telling sevika she’s a traitor and being disappointed by Vander for working together with an enforcer to protect the family and booth societies

The black rose is a noxian cabale, founded by 2 powerfull mages 1000 years ago (Leblanc- mirrormagic and Vladimir - Bloodmagic) Those 2 fight each other since the foundation of noxus and influence politics behind the scenes. While Leblanc is the leader of the black rose, vladimir is more of a lose memeber and founded his own secret society, making him more independent from the black rose while also staying as a member of the back rose. Ambessa has definitly seriuos problems with the wrong people. Noxus is ruled by a triumvirate but one member of the 3, Swain is seen as the ruler/emperor of noxus. He is also opposing the Black rose and he just can so because his arm hosts the Demon of secrets, feeding him intel. The black Rose is heavily involved in creating and leading noxus for over 1000 years now and Leblanc is seen as one of the oldest and most powerfull mages in the World. She is also among the strongest mortals and the most influential mortals in the entire setting.

Interestingly enough... Cait accepting this position is probably one of the reasons Piltover ultimately becomes what it becomes. It puts her in a position of power over everybody else (which she doesn't stay in forever) and gives her power to change kind of anything... I'm VERY interested to see if/how she interacts with Jayce, Heimer, Ekko down the road as well as Vi since there are clearly very strong feelings. The voice acting, music and visuals of this show are off the damn charts again though gotta love it.

This is my read of the show but I think there is more nuance to give to Cait's character development at this moment. First, we now know she's being toyed and used by ambessa since she sees she has little control over Mel, when we have been shown Cait is, from the start, someone who thinks a lot and who is really easily influenced, kind and sensitive. She lived in her own world by being part of a rich family, with no visible issue, which makes her even more weak against the harsh of reality, the mind games and the mindstate changes occuring since season 1. Of course, the reaction to such events depends on your own nature and values, which means I don't think that Cait is 100% irresponsible of what she is becoming too. This is not just "'fate"'. Also, I don't see people talking about this, but I feel like Vi is changing too. In the scene where they kiss, Vi is scared and fed up of people who she trusts changing and diverging of the values she was sharing with them at the begining. She is also being toyed with, mostly emotionnaly, throughout the show, and she doesn't want that to hurt her anymore, even more when her bonds with Cait are looking so strong, close to what she had with Powder. Maybe this is more because I WANT to believe it, but I feel like this is even better from a character development point of view that, even after saying and showing us all that, Vi changes too by losing her firmness and becoming too soft once she reaches a critical moment with Jinx, dissonant with what Cait has in mind and what Vi told her right before going on this mission. In the end, I find it interesting that they show Vi, unable to keep one mind set by being in the center of the events all the time since the start of the show. Meaning being the main character is quickly psychologically exhausting and a burden impossible to bear alone, which is why she searches help in Cait now. Again, this is my interpretation but I feel like it is more nuanced that just thinking Vi is cool and right because she is the most empathic and that Cait is just becoming a dictator and a warmonger out of this. Also, I'm not a fan of basing such an important part of the show on a little child we don't know anything from, just like when people you just met take sides in your private things.

I think we are going to see Caitlyn be about to make a decision or take an action that she would not be able to come back from, but then be stopped by Vi or the memory of her mother, maybe a combination of the two and then Ambessas plan will backfire when Caitlyn decides her real enemy is the warlord in her city and not the people of Zaun🤔

Just a crazy theory. I think by the end, Vi kind of falls from grace and Jinx slightly gains back some of her humanity and they meet in the middle. Probably not back as a family, but at least on common ground

im actually kind of shocked you guys dont know about the Black Rose considering all of your lore dives. Maybe its been a long time but you have 100% heard it multiple times associated with some champs from the game. Honestly loving this show and they have set up so much for the next 2 acts. God I hope we get a Noxus and Ionia or Noxus and Demacia story next because those regions are more interesting imo.

The Singed scene wasn't in season 1, it was the first teaser for season 2 which we got earlier this year iirc. Cait is an impeccable shot and in any other circumstance I would take her at her word that she could have made that shot. However, with the way Jinx has her absolutely destabilized and the Hextech malfunctioning, she could just as easily hit Isha. I see lots of people crapping on Vo, saying it is a double standard and comparing it the way she talked Jayce down after he killed that kid in season 1 during their attack on the shimmer refinery but those situations are totally different. She has learned at a very high cost what that impulsiveness can cost. Act 1 is dope, 2 days till act 2, hyped.

guys it didnt happen early at all, jayce and mel got a kiss scene and a sex scene in episode 5 of season 1 hahah, in my opinion caits and vi kiss happened LATE
