PAIN, HEARTBREAK & HARDSHIP - A PATH TO ALLAH || emotional || Navaid Aziz

Assalaamu 'alaykum
As we drown in the comfort of wealth, health, happiness, company of family/friends & safety everyday, one thing we must frequently be mindful of is the fact that Allaah ta'aala could take them away in a second - In the blink of an eye - & not necessarily to punish us but rather to pour His mercy upon us & guide us closer to the right path.
Trials & hardships in Islaam aren't always a bad thing or a punishment... The prophet Muhammad salla Allaahu alayhi wassalam said that Allaah tests those whom he loves & the more he loves them, the higher & harder the trial will be, this is because Allaah subhanahu wa ta'aala will pour rewards & mercy without measure upon those whom endured the most hardships in this life. If only we were to see how highly Allaah 'azza wa jal will favour those whom patiently persevered, we would wish that our body parts were sliced off to get that which they do. The anbiyaa (messengers & prophets) were all tested with the most severe trials & at the same time, they are the best of Allaah's creation & the most beloved to Allaah. By pondering upon this, we come to realize that these tests are a form of Allaah's love & care for us - the hopelessness & despair we feel during the midst of a tribulation may make it hard to see & understand why Allaah subhanahu wa ta'aala would test us in such a way, however, if we deal with them in a correct manner - understanding with full conviction that He does not give us more than we can take, use the pain as a medium to get closer to our Creator & seek knowledge about the lives of the anbiyaa & pious predecessors, it will make it easier to understand why we are experiencing what we are & the end result of the trial would feel closer & appear sweeter, making it easier for us to get over the initial rage or pain.
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الْخَوْفِ وَالْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِنَ الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَنْفُسِ وَالثَّمَرَاتِ وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ
الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
أُولَئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَاتٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُهْتَدُونَ
" And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealthand lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah , and indeed to Him we will return." Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided. "
(2: 155-157)
Trials are a means of purification. A means which cleanses our soul & if we deal with them in the manner prescribed by the Qur-aan & Sunnah, we will flourish out of them as better & improved Muslims with a broader outlook on life, inshaaAllaah. SubhaanAllaah, apart from my own personal trials - I myself, by the bounties of Allaah subhanahu wa ta'aala have been given the chance to watch & experience close hand, various shapes & forms of trials which friends/family undergo around me, whether that be the long absence of missing children, death of loved ones, diagnosis of deadly illnesses & disease, loss of huge wealth, & so on. By Allaah, the creator of the heavens & earth, I have not seen anyone afflicted with a trial except that they become amazingly happier, productive, better & more successful beings from every aspect of life, provided that they were patient & relied themselves upon their Lord with full trust, hope & continuously obeyed His commands. One important thing which we MUST keep in mind during hard times is that this life is truly nothing in comparison to the hereafter, & what we do HERE - in this limited, restricted world - will determine where we end up THERE - in the infinite life of the hereafter which has in it that which the eye has never seen, that which the ear has never heard & that which the heart has never felt.
On dealing with a trial, we have two choices. Either we seek Allaah subhanahu wa ta'aala through it & make it a means of purification for us, a path to paradise. Or we isolate ourselves from everyone & allow the shaitan to take advantage of us - pulling us further away from the path of Allaah.
Our dear brother & teacher Navaid Aziz tackles this concept in a clear & motivational manner, may Allaah subhanahu wa ta'aala reward him & remove from him all hardships in this life & the next, ameen.
I ask Allaah subhanahu wa ta'aala to make the Qur-aan the delight of our hearts, the light of our breasts & the remover of our pain, sorrow & discomfort, aameen!

This life in essence is a test to see who will be the best in actions - it's not intended to be a happy, perfect home. We will fall. We will struggle. We will love & lose. We will get sick. But absolutely every bit of pain that we endure will not go to loss subhaanAllaah I recall a hadith where Muhammad SAW said that if the people were to see the rewards of those who endured trials on the day of judgement, they would wish that their body parts had been sliced with knives in the dunyah.

Why should I become a Muslim? There is no need for. As long as you listen to your heart and do what is right you ARE amongst the righteous believers no matter what your official believe is, God, Allah, Buddha...all the same. Yes, I read the Koran and I love it-it´s a beautiful book. But I don´t think there is ONE true religion and only by stepping over to a certain religion your soul can be saved. Nevertheless I feel great respect for your believe and we are all god´s children. I think you´re doing the right thing when you stay with your religion and keep on persuing the route you are currently on. Take care.

There is one big difference between Islam and other religions. Islam is the total submission to The One and Only Creator where as other ways of life call upon other deities. The Creator is the only One to be worshipped and not his creation. This is why Islam made sense to me and this is why I embraced Islam after being an atheist. Alhamdulillah. i was in pain with my personal issues.. great pain.. i got isolated, cried, and cried.. carried that pain months.. but i made sabr(patience) which allah gifted me and moved towards him to find comfort.. and Allah s.w.t gave peace to my heart which was i greive.. to my soul which was on urge to free itself from body(make sucide).. thank allah subhanallah wa bi hamdihi subhanallahi azeem.. i you want peace in your life gather knowledge or know about allah and his rasool.. thanks for reading

MashAllah !!! Extremely True... It was teary for me as I found myself fit into the narration. When I got divorced around 1 year ago, I broke... I crooked... and one day through the mercy of Allah SWT I raised my hands asking the Almighty "Whyyy ?!" Until today I blv I may get further away from enjoying the typical pleasures of the world, but I do get much closer to My Lord.. And I am so Grateful to Him today, saying "O.. How much we yearn for it & yet we haven't seen it so imagine actually being there! If you think about it, if you feel pain, frustration, depression or sadness its a disease in the heart, we are Muslims, for us its the hereafter, so any time you feel pain, frustration, anguish and helplessness, its a big sign to return to Allah and his messenger Mohammad (saw). And with so much stuff going on around Islam in these times, its actually a good motivation to have. If you fall in love with the life of this world it makes it difficult to live for the sake of Allah, as then you live for fun. But when you've tasted the bitterness, coldness and horribleness of this life its a good way to keep your focus on the real life in the hereafter. Someone told me, Work hard in this Life, Rest in your Grave, then Have fun that is Never Ending, Without Consequance or a waste of time in Paradise. This is what I hope to achieve.

Regardless of your Religion, Race, Gender, If you are suffering through Pain, Hardship, Clamity, I strongly urge you to watch this video. The Brother has said the message so beautifully that It would be a shame and dishonour not to share this with you. Not too long ago, I sufferred one of the biggest Clamaity of my life...something I would not even Impose upon my enemies...Only my immediate family and best friend know what I truly went through,.But I too had a choice....to give up and leave this world on my own accord and follow the path of Satan, or get close to Allah, I chose the latter.....With the Blessing of Allah, I am at peace with myself, and If I die today, I can die in peace, and tranquility, without any anger, hatred, blackness, guilt, heaviness in my heart. It is never, ever too late to get back to Allah. This world that we live in is a test of our faith and believe. I may not be the best muslim, and I know that,,,,but every day I strive to be a better human being...and the path to Allah and believe in his Last Messenger - Muhammad (PBUH) and the Final Word of Allah the Quran is what I try to fulfil my heart and practice everyday. At first it is not easy, but just like in Karate - My Passion...as you may all know, you have to start of somehere (Whitebelt) and eventully it becomes easier, and you want to get even better to achieve that Black Belt (the mercy and forgivness of Allah). So to all my brothers and sisters...LOOK deep inside you and ask yourself what type of a lifestyle, the type of world do you want for yourself, for you family, children, etc. and once you have truly answered that question, you must then begin the journey to get to that destination or Simply STAY where you are today. THE CHOICE IS YOURS AND YOURS ONLY...I am not a preacher nor a philosopher.....Just a normal human being that faces all the trails and tribulations like you in this world. I am Thankful everyday to Allah for even the hardships that I have gone through (life lesson) So Never Give up...and just like in Karate " The way YOU fight is the way YOU Practice. May Allah make it easy for you and me, and guide you the right path and bring you peace and tranquilty in your life - Amen - Nasir
