To be fair, this is less about love and more about rudy not making that connection. With paul tho it's implied they do have that connection, imo the one thing i wish the anime did better was show how much paul loved and truely adored rudy and put him on a pedestal. And while they did spend time together, paul and rudy connected a lot more than he did with zenith(not that they didn't). But rudy actually taught paul a lot about being a father which paul realized when he was alone with norn. Rudy and paul were also in contact over the last 10 years, even though it wasn't close contact. And also exchanged plenty of meaningful conversations. His connection with paul was truly special with the way they helped each other. Obviously this all makes it even more heavy lol, add in the fact that the last pillar of a parent he has left isn't in a state to replace that figure, rudy is in a state.

Goddamnit man, this ending is the best in the entire show by far. It's so... unsettling, seeing how everyone is completely silent with that brutal scene. There is no music, no exposition, nothing. It's pure shock. This show continues to impress me with how human it is, and how relatable the characters are.

@@mi66m9What are YOU smoking😂. Generic shows may have characters parents dying but it doesn’t makes you feel the impact of that to the character losing their parents compared to mt. MT is really good at building and developing characters relationships with each other and thats why it hits harder and gives you more of an impact.

MT is one of the rare one where the world is genuinely try to kill the MC, if you know the whole story you will understand how brutal the world is. The next one is the most brutal. Most power fantasy world building is created solely to feed onto the ego or the power of the MC, that's why it doesnt feel real because they have plot armor so thick that we know he will overcome it eventually. MT have MC that failed many times throughout the story. Any1 can die in MT including Rudy.

It's just hurts me totally. I cried for like 30 minutes non stop afterwards. My heart shattered even though i knew this shi is coming. Seeing Paul's lifeless half bodied literally broke me. After i finished watching, i immediately messaged my father... This really heartbreaking....

Pa/ul Outstanding episode. Very much lived up to what I was expecting it to be. People were complaining that the hydra was CGI when previews dropped, but it's pretty much the best looking it I've ever seen, and there's still a bunch of 2D bits of it. 5:24 fire was bad earlier because the spaces they were in were much more cramped, this is a lot more open. Besides, it's not like they have any other choice.

In my opinion, Rudy doesn't see Zenith as his real biological mother is because he directly crossed over with his soul. He still retains the memories of his previous life's family, so Paul and Zenith don't quite feel like his original family to him. Even with Paul, Rudy only began to acknowledge their some kind of father-son relationship after Paul's death. Before that, he just thinking him as 'Paul' instead of 'Father,' considering that, in terms of psychological age, Paul is even younger than him.

Just some skipped content here the reason paul was able to even fight the hydra is because of a the offhand he's using if he didn't have that they 100% could never rescue zenith then and there some info about the sword below Paul bought the short sword in Rapan because of its ability [Armor Break] where the harder the opponent's armor is; the sharper the cutting edge gets which is a rare ability that the seller was not able to identify and treated it like a dull butter knife that couldn't even saw through dried meat and practically sold for a few copper coins. The Armor Break ability is also mentioned in the book of [The Legend of Perugius] in Buena Village where a warrior in the book has a weapon with the same ability and because of this, Paul's attacks can easily kill Armored Warriors despite attacking with his offhand as long as he landed a clean hit

If he didn't go what would have happened is: Roxy 100% going to die Zenith will never be saved orrrrr Paul gees talhand and elinalize will reach the sixth floor and guess what? They will die they ain't beating that without roxy and rudes. And zenith will never be saved. So i think it's a win honestly we only lost 1 memeber and 1 arm and we saved zenith although she doesn't remember anything. But the real question is what would've happened if rudes listened to hitogami's advice? Are these the consequences of going against hitogami's advice? Would rudes have really gotten a "great happiness" if he cheated on sylphie with linia or pursena. And you know what's cool? We will never know. I am still in the side that he should go but after today's episode i don't think staying with his wife and then cheating on her is that bad. Also i heared that everything goes downhill from now on, that's fucking scary
