I wish I had listened when a doctor told me in my twenties to stop meat and dairy, and my endometriosis would get better. Twenty-five years later, I decided to give up meat and dairy, and to my surprise, I no longer had any pain with my cycles.

You are lucky your doctor offered a real diet solution. I weighed 268, was diagnosed with lupus and fibromyalgia and NO ONE suggested a healthy diet...they never mentioned my weight!

I had been vegetarian for nearly 25 years then when I was about 53 I went Vegan and WFPB. All my hot flushes stopped. I was never much of a cheese eater and just had a milky coffee once or twice a day. I used to eat a lot of vegan biscuits so my sugar intake was high. Even now if I eat too much sugar the hot flushes start again.

I can only add it’s a miraculous diet after many years of suffering from heavy migraines I was lucky to hear about this diet and in 9 days I had such a high energy and so joyful and so grateful Everybody should know that it can be a miraculous cure. 🙏 for sharing - I heard of in in the late 60 s as a macrobiotic diet and it was a high fiber, whole food plant based diet with millet, buckwheat, brown rice and lots of vegetables and a little fruit. 🙏🍀💚

I had been a vegetarian for several years, but still had a headache at least once or twice a week sometimes more sometimes they were terrible. They were always on the same side when I went to this diet and stopped the dairy and the oil I had a headache about four days after I started and I’ve been doing this diet almost a year and I’ve not had one headache since I’m sure it was the dairy. Cheese was one of my favorite foods, but it is well worth giving up the cheese. Do not have the headaches.

I needed this, I'm so glad that corn is on your list of what to avoid, I haven't been able to convince anyone that corn is an allergen, so if I eat it, it's in small doses. As I was watching this video, I was experiencing terrible pain in my hand while it was resting, then remembered that I hadn't had the turmeric and cinnamon in my cereal this morning. Made a cup of green tea and added the two spices. That and a pain pill (always the last option) and I felt better. Thank you

Yes, different apple varieties affect you differently.

Please Chuck and Dr Barnard, could we have a video about coping with sinuses, a permanently blocked nose which also prevents me from sleeping properly. I am slim, WFPB, oil & sugar-free, I never eat junk, it's driving me insane and the number of tissues I get through on a daily basis is mind-boggling. Part is genetic, but it's getting worse and I've done all the allergy tests, they can't find what's wrong. please help! It's really affected my quality of life and even my ability to socialise as constantly blowing your nose is not very nice in front of other people or when eating.

I never had it this bad, but my sinuses did improve after several rounds of the fasting mimicking diet (fmd, Dr Longo). I still get the sniffles outside in the cold, but it's way better at night. (That's on top of a WFPB diet)

I am sensitive to the coating on the apple sometimes. I also reacted with swollen lips once from sucking on a lemon wedge at a restaurant (pesticide?). Citrus once a week I am fine, but by the 3rd day I have a stuffy nose. Lucky it is not worse.
@happycook67375 күн бұрын
If this is a recent problem it could be due to the widespread use of Appeel coating. I personally am having this reaction.

I’ve an issue with visceral fat too. If I need to stop eating nuts/seeds, where do I get the omega-3s from? I only eat 1 tblsp of milled flaxseed daily. And few walnuts once/twice a week.
@luluandmeow5 күн бұрын
You could take a supplements and stop eating nuts and seeds. Could it be other higher calorie foods that cause visceral fat or just the menopause and post-menopause? We don't count calories on a WFPB diet usually, but they still count so maybe you're just eating too much for your requirements. I'm having the same problem so I'm doing a reset/review of my way of eating, my portions have got too big. I'm 58 and petite, not very active so I think it's just a matter of eating a little less... Try a Mary McDougall's Mini to reset your diet.

These are very healthy foods. I would keep them in the mix. I would not replace them with supplements. You need some healthy fats in the diet. Look at the rest of your diet.

Is a hip labrum tear repairable with diet or does one have to have the surgery to repair/heal the tear?
@julies1665 күн бұрын
Following.
@CosmetopiaDigest5 күн бұрын
It can heal on its own. I was in a traffic accident 10 years ago, and had a labral tear on the right hip. They suggested surgery, but we went for a second opinion, and the doctor said it WOULD heal with physiotherapy and care, but would take time. Took ages, and I can no longer sit cross-legged, or touch my toes. But the Dr says that's okay - and I'm pain-free, which is more important!

I've been a vegan for 6 years; am off all medications; and lost 110lbs. However, I have been exposed to Mold or some sort of Mycotoxin. My research says that eating "Meat" will help expedite my healing, or the Carbs I eat will promote inflammation. I have severe headaches and the inflammation is localized in my lungs. What say you to me going back to eating meat? Is it ne nessary or just a recommendation? It's my hope that after I rid my body of the mycotoxins, I can go back to my Vegan diet.
@k.h.69912 күн бұрын
There is no reason to eat meat to get rid of mycotoxins. Also, many people lump all carbs together. In fact, some are healthy, like beans and whole grains. Others are not that healthy, like sugar and most bread-like products. You could go 2 ways with this 1) try a round or two of the fasting mimicking diet (fmd, Dr. Longo), or the opposite 2) make sure you get enough anti-inflammatory foods like leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables and berries. A Brook Goldner type smoothie regime can do wonders for the immune system.

Why do I feel like I need the fatty foods like avocado, nuts, seeds? I feel worse when I don't have them. Moderation is important, but I really feel hungry and fatigued without some plant based fat.
@luluandmeow5 күн бұрын
They're good in moderation so if they work for you, carry on what you're doing
@k.h.69912 күн бұрын
Most plant based doctors recommend some fat containing plant foods in the diet. Look at Dr. Fuhrmann, or Dr. Greger. In other words: don't feel guilty, keep on doing what you're doing.
