Hey so first off thanks for the video, seems like a lot of good ideas on what to swap in/out 👍 Only issue is you seem to only have recommended 28 cards to go in and it might be obvious to veteran magic players but since I'm new I'm not sure if there's supposed doubles of something or if there's something else that goes there to make it 35 cards going in?? Thx!

Based on what I currently have and don't have I'd really want to add Tiamat since it has gathered dust in my collection. I would want to buy some nice dragons to my deck like Ramos and Moomveil Regent. The deck already have O-Kagachi which is nice.

I really considered Ramos it be pretty decent if you can mutate onto him that way you can give him more counters. I bet it make a decent dragon commander I know there are better options but hey we are trying to have fun here lol

Hmm I don’t think so just because it wouldn’t really reduce the cost of most spells we cast. Typically I see people use it in morophon to cast your creatures for free.

Funny that i played 4 games with this out of box against 3 others that had their usual decks and won 2 of those games and one of the other was really close it seems people are underestimating this deck too much.

@@decktechsfordecks about 7th or 8th i think first one can be considered they were just being considered me playing with precon and just ramping but the deck has enough spells to delay other people though i admit only one was playing blue and had their hand full with dealing with others but having two headed hellkite swinging for 10 over their head for one turn then next turn coming as 15 while kavus trampling over other things were refreshing with all the draw and extra mana i was throwing sweeps like candy too. Second win was pretty much same except it was maelstrom angel this time

I’m really excited to play with two headed hellkite more the card seems insane. I’m glad you had a good experience out of the box but I promise play a couple more times and you’ll see what I’m talking about when you don’t draw that green mana source or you can’t get repeatable card draw on the table. At the end of the day people don’t wanna sit there do nothing and pass and this deck will get hands where that’s all you’ll be doing. I’m not saying you need to take all 35 cards out but the Precon barely taps into the potential of this commander in my opinion.

@@decktechsfordecks yeah I just played with this precon tonight no upgrades and I made the new player mistake of keeping a bad first hand so i was stuck doing nothing for 3-4 turns cause all I had was the 2 colorless lands and a dual with no green -_- the second game I had a better first hand but then got stuck topdecking and hitting mostly lands - 12 mana and nothing to do with it esp. since Jared kept getting killed before I got to take another turn with him. I know I signed up for trouble picking a 5-color first deck but I agree with what you said in the video about it needing a bunch more card draw and a few more useful creatures

Adding the signets is definitely one of the best ways to fix that sorry to hear that. The card draw I added sadly didn’t make it into the video due to an editing mistake on my part but I added it in a reply to the pinned comment.

That’s fair I forgot to put the card draw portion of the video in there so it looks like it’s lacking but you can see the card draw in the pinned comment. But if your bashing the ramp and creatures I added in I’d like to hear why you think they are bad choices

I like your upgrades, we made some similar changes. There are some good cards that I'd recommend that I haven't seen anyone else use that I think synergize really well. Righteous war, bloodmark mentor, brave the elements and spirit of resistance are some examples. I'll share my decklist, let me know what you think

They just printed Tori D’Avenant, Fury Rider it be a solid swap out for blood mark mentor I almost included it in the deck

All you did was take out half the deck and just make it good card.dek.... completely ignoring what the deck is trying to do

I added several cards with 5 colors on top of adding cards that tapped for wubrg or could create any color of mana which the deck was severely lacking. To me it looked like the deck wanted to play multi colored creatures and make them massive. I think I stayed true to that theme. So I’m just curious how you think I ignored the theme because from my point of view it looks like you ignored the video.

I do kind of like the stealthy dragon tribal approach. Still have the entire Ur-Dragon deck lying around basically unused, so throwing in a few of those might be a pretty fun approach that would keep the deck more flexible than "Big bungus go brrrr" with pure Ur-Dragon Tribal, while also not being as kill-on-sight.
