This is great information, thank you. Can you keep doing the massage until your finger releases?

So glad you enjoyed it, Marina! Releasing a trigger finger takes consistency of effort over time.

Hello, I recently had trigge finger repair surgery. I now have a larger knot in palm of my hand than before surgery. Still cannot close my hand. What can I do I take care of my mother.
@painfixprotocol8 ай бұрын
So sorry, Carol. I would start by speaking to your surgeon and discussing the complications you're having. I would also seek out a an expert in rehabilitation and begin working with them immediately to help you regain function. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I will do that . Thank you Doctor!

This has come at a great time. This happened to me in the middle of dog training class. How long do you recommend to wear the rock tape and how long to take the Movement Essentials? Will this help with migraines when I’m in the middle of one? Bev
@painfixprotocol2 жыл бұрын
Body Xcellence - Properly applied Rock Tape applications can stay on for 3-5 days at a time. Movement Essentials® was designed to optimize joint health and ensure movement longevity so, I take them the same way I take a greens supplement or multi-vitamin.

What can I use for when I’m painting art? It causes tingling. I bought a compression glove but hasn’t arrived yet…is that what artist use for trigger finger?
@painfixprotocol8 ай бұрын
It's a good question. In the early stages of treating trigger finger, I typically try to eliminate, limit or modify any and all activities that contribute to the issue as much as possible.

How do you fix a finger that has kinda froze and bent from the first joint closest to the fingertip?
@lendalennuk24842 жыл бұрын
Apparently just exactly as seen in this video.

will the serrapeptase completely push the stressed fluids out for good?
@painfixprotocol3 ай бұрын
Serrapeptase is very effective for thinning fluids and helping to remove swelling. However, the reason that swelling is usually present in the first place is to facilitate tissue repair. Until the damage has been repaired, the body will continue bringing fluid to the area.

This works for thumb, too??
@painfixprotocol2 жыл бұрын
Bob - For the thumb, the areas targeted with percussion will need to change as will the location the tape is applied and the mobilization is slightly more complex since the thumb has a different type of joint than the fingers. But, with proper application - yes, the same general strategies will work for the thumb.

Thank you for your efforts, but Serrapeptase did nothing to alleviate my trigger finger in conjunction with my efforts to disrupt the scar tissue.

I would use a proteolytic enzyme like serrapeptase in combination physical rehab and light therapy to accelerate healing.

I don't have quite the trigger finger you describe. Rather, my third (ring) finger, usually on my left hand, but often on my right, cramps, bending sideways towards the second or middle finger. It seems my being stressed, as well as repetitive heavy work, as with a screwdriver, can set this off. Would you recommend the same exercises? Thanks for any advice.
@painfixprotocol Жыл бұрын
Great question, Ian. It's hard to say for certain without an examination but that doesn't sound like trigger finger. You might take a look at this general hand/finger health video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nmnFhpePm6ZgpMU

That would be a question for your PCP. Those kinds of drugs have no part in this particular protocol.

Thank you Dt. If this condition caused by inflammation, why not take anti inflammatory medication like Celebrex?
@painfixprotocol8 ай бұрын
Great question, Yasim. It's important to remember that the inflammation in most of these cases is not random, but rather the result of overuse. I'm not opposed to treating the symptoms to help ease discomfort, but addressing the root cause of the inflammation should be a higher priority.

@painfixprotocol11 ай бұрын
I don't use much ice or heat. Light therapy provides all the benefits of those modalities with none of the downside. Here's a video that talks about it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4CpZqKnj9iMZpY

You lost me with the tape. Seems like it would do nothing you don’t explain what it does. And when you bend your arm back, the tape is just going to wrinkle anyway I like the idea of the massager. I have one and I will try that however as I said, the tape seems ridiculous.
