I have been searching for hours as to how to remove a blank page. This video is the only one that could assist me. all I had to do is press the ENTER key many times and reach the blank page just so I could press the BACKSPACE key till I reach the page with content. so #FIX 1 helped a lot. thank you.

Thank you! I'm so glad you find them helpful 😊. Gosh, that is hard if you are being emailed everything. You could ask the Sender to send a link only and store the file somewhere where you have access and can get to it easily (e.g. OneDrive, SharePoint, Google Drive, DropBox). You could also try saving the attachments to an external drive and then deleting the message. Sorry I don't have a quick and easy solution. If anyone else reading this has a good solution please share!

Hi Jane. Can you please try moving your insertion point below the Section break, and then press your BACKSPACE key to remove the section break. If the Section break is at the very end of your document try pressing Ctrl+End to get to the very end of your document first, and then try the Backspace key. I hope this fixes it for you.

Oh isn't that annoying Michel! What you will need to do is open Headers and Footers, go to the Header or Footer you want to keep and then copy these into the following section BEFORE you delete the section break or extra para on the last page. I hope this helps :-)

I enjoyed your video and I'm having a similar problem with a rogue space when I start a new paragraph. It just started happening. I have the show character on and it has a square before the paragraph character. But when I go into the Line and Page Breaks tab it shows nothing selected. I have 0 space selected between paragraphs. I have deleted the page completely and started it over, but it keeps reoccurring. I'm at a loss as to what to try next.

I have one more fix to add to the list, found after additional googling on the topic. If your document ends w/ a table, Word will add an extra paragraph after the table, sometimes spilling onto the next page. In this case, reduce the font of the extra paragraph to something miniscule. Did the trick for me!

Thanks so much, I watched four other videos and nobody could help me delete an extra blank page, but I had changed one of my pages to landscape mode and when I went to the second page which wouldn’t delete it was blank and in portrait mode, I changed it to the same mode and I was able to delete the page no problem. I have struggled with these large gaps since yesterday. It started with one chapter of a manuscript; now there several with large gaps between paragraphs. From watching your video, I now know the page breaks are the problem. When I remove them (I need them to separate chapters), the gaps disappear; when I insert them, the gaps reappear. I tried the no link route, but it doesn't work. The problem will be solved, but how I don't know.

Hi Teri. It could be 🤔If you have a landscape and a portrait page in your document you will be working with Section Breaks, so it could be the section break that is causing the problem.
