Oh wow, great Demo Debbie, I think even I can paint this tree using your technique. Thank You so much for this. A Debbie Walker painting wouldn't be the same without some metallic..its because of you I even know about metallics which I now use too❤

I cannot believe that you have posted this gorgeous Willow, when I need to do one for my little pen and wash painting of a duck pond! Thank you so much, that is very helpful.

Wonderful tutorial. I have two weeping willows in my back yard. They are a beautiful tree. Thank you Debbie. 😊

They are, aren't they. We don't have many here in Southern California, for some reason there are a few of them here on one trail and they are so beautiful. I have been wanting to paint them for years~ I hope you give them a try, and most of all have fun!

I never thought it would be so much fun to paint a tree. Great exercise for dry brushing, I am going to do that. Thanks Debbie for another inspiring lesson ❤

Right? If I cant have fun with it im not interested lol. It is, dry brushing can be a bit tricky, but once you get it, its so much fun! Not too much water and skim the top of that cold pressed or rough paper, you will do great!

Beautiful. We have these trees in NC. Thanks for the inspiration.
@DebbieWalkerArtmadeeasy3 күн бұрын
Oh lucky you. They really are not common here in California, probably too hot. Now you can paint an entire painting of them. Dont forget that pop of gold, it looks like the sun glistening off the leaves. Have fun most of all

Wow, this is wonderful and looks so achievable , we’ll see when I try it ! I’ll be catching up on anything you’ve broadcast since fri as have been at mothers for the weekend . Can’t use iPad at mothers as she’s not online and I like watching your stuff on iPad not my phone as the screens too small on the phone . Really love this painting and I do have a passion for weeping willows , even tho I’ve never seen one in real life unfortunately. Only you would put metallics on a willow tree ! ! But hey it worked , I’ll have to try that too . Debbie you’re a treasure and inspirational . Thank you, thank you for sharing your talent with us .

Hi Julie! Yes SO doable Julie. lol, right about the metallics! I saw a glimmer a shine where the sun was hitting the tree top and thought, Oh, thats a perfect spot for those gold MAB Metallaics~ Thank you friend, your words make me smile, I couldnt be more grateful and happy to share my lifetime of oops, discoveries, and techniques with you! Have fun with this one. ( I get the thing about watching on your IPhone, I feel the same!
