When you finish with this series, you could do either the state flowers or unique/native flowers for each state!

That is a great idea. I may do something besides flowers for a wile like animals or people, but I will keep the state flowers in mind.

At 0:54 you showed the shadow colors, green on the right side and you said orange on the left. I see the green on the right side and I see orange on the upper petals that are doubled as you described, but I see purple on the left. Do you see purple, too? I see some orange as a small streak on the left side where the petals are doubled, but definitely purple on the left and a streak of purple on the top to the right of the upper orange. Do you see all of this, as well? I just finished watching your videos about the beautiful Vintage Violet Watercolors and the correction video that supplements it. I learned a lot and they were both very enjoyable! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and gifts with us! I miss watercolor sometimes and I LOVE quinacrodones. You make it look so very easy, but it takes a LOT of time and practice for it to look that easy 😉 I believe that's the secret to any art! Lol! God Bless 😃

Denise I did use gamboge in the lower petals, but sometimes it was mixed with green so it got a bit drabber than just gamboge. I didn’t use purple and I just rewatched and I don’t see any purple. I’m glad you liked the violets! Thanks for letting me know and commenting. I’m sorry I can’t help with the purple.

What brand of watercolors are you using? And is your paper hot or cold pressed? Just saw “professional” brand for watercolor paints, and Arches for paper but not the press on it. Thanks.
