I am really loving the idea of making bracelets from skins. Can you tell me where you got the bracelet that you are wearing in this video that you can tuck the skin inside the cuff (the green one). I LOVE this one!!! You mentioned a thrift store....do you know of anywhere to get them online?
@acrylicpouringwithcindyvan91732 жыл бұрын
Hi Judy, many thanks. Both bracelets came from the thrift store. Since posting this video I have seen many different bracelets using out paint skins. I believe there is wholesalers who sell Blank cuffs but I think they are quite costly. Maybe try Amazon or ask on an FB group? There are so many talented folks making jewellery im sure someone would have the answer. Cindy 😀

This had the real potential for being another Julia Childs skit from Saturday Night Live. I laughed, but I'm glad it didn't turn out to be one :).

The same varnish as you apply to your paintings? (Pardon if this is a repeat question).

Beautiful! How long do you let the paint dry on the tile before making the bracelets?
@acrylicpouringwithcindyvan91733 жыл бұрын
Usually just a couple days Marianne. I keep my skins between sheets of parchment paper and they stay pliable for along time & ready for use. Cindy
@lindalambert30773 жыл бұрын
Hope your finger is ok what a good idea can you do the same with a canvas?
@acrylicpouringwithcindyvan91733 жыл бұрын
I've never tried Linda bit I would take a guess at yes. Canvas should adhere equally as well providing it is not stiff and dry. Cindy

How do you get the skin of off a tile Cindy
@pamcrandall6343 жыл бұрын
I have NEVER been able to get a skin off in an entire piece like that. Even using silicone mat. They stretch and rip, any tips please?
@acrylicpouringwithcindyvan91733 жыл бұрын
Hi Pam, black peels much easier than white. I pour on gloss tiles and peel off within a couple days of pouring. If your base is white try a damp dishcloth over the pieces for 15 minutes or so. They should peel right off afterwards. Cindy
