The company Mod Podge themselves come with sealants separately which you can check, acrylic varnish also is a sealant, depending on the project one can even use Epoxy Resin as a sealant.

Ur wrk is brilliant i jst lvd dem🥰jst want to ask in terracotta pots u put d plants directly or with a plastic pot inside? Nd do we need to make hole den in d pot?

Thank you so much and Terracotta pots usually come with hole to let water out and you can directly pot in them... but if you plan to paint them you'll have to seal the pot inside and outside... first a primer before the paint job and then a sealant to ensure the paint doesn't get stained and spoiled... otherwise you can use it as a planter to just hold the plant in the original plastic pot...

Thank you Anupama, actually the fabric mod podge, I've used an outdoor purpose mod podge which itself acts as a sealant so if using a similar mod podge then no need to go over it again with varnish.

Maam why u used chalk paint?? It is used for wood... why u not used aryclic paint

Actually chalk paint is good for a variety of surfaces including terracotta it allows for more breathability than acrylic paint too :) but yes we can use acrylic paint as well, i liked the creamy texture of chalk paint better

yes, it does... all forms of painting do, though some more than the others, chalk paint and water-based emulsion/primers and varnish are better, they still maintain some level of porosity... oil-based or synthetic completely block the porosity...
