Well done man, just seeing your use of that chipping medium, i'm going to follow suit with my terrain!

Excellent - I'm still using it now!

I envy your ability to go through so many minis so quickly!

Anyone can do it, it's just discarding those ideas of things having to be 'perfect' and thinking more about what looks good enough for the tabletop. 👍

Looks very nice! Chipping medium is great.

I recently got a pot of chipping medium myself. Haven't gotten a chance to use it yet. Love the results that you got. Always fun and inspiring to see how dedicated you are to blasting through getting all your new game stuff put together and painted so quickly. Cheers!

Thanks for the tips, I really like the finish on the terrain, I may have to copy your style brother. Also your mat is quality too I'm looking to get a new mat to replace the one that comes in the box, could you give any recommendations to look?
@EsotericOrderGamers2 жыл бұрын
Cheers! There's a link to the company that made the mat in the show notes.

Looks awesome! May I ask what color you used for the grey ?

Sorry mate I did this 2 years ago. I can hardly remember what I had for breakfast. 🤣

Looks so good, certainly going to give this method a shot! Out of curiosity which grey did you use after the chipping medium was applied? Thanks!

Vallejo Model Colour Blue Grey Pale.

Hey Peter, if you don't mind can you link us to the game mat you are using here, its looks very nice for the setting.

I think I found it the gaslands matt by deep cut studio.

You state you are thinking of getting more Habfab buildings but do they come with walkways ? I don't think so, I think I read you only get the buildings as such plus the towers they sit on. Could be wrong and no doubt someone will tell me if that is the case?
@EsotericOrderGamers2 жыл бұрын
You're right, walkways are sold as a separate set. Unfortunately, given the cost of this terrain here in NZ, I can't really afford to indulge in buying more of these buildings, as much as I like them.

I'm going to have to come clean. After much gnashing of teeth I bit the bullet (a bad idea with gnashed teeth surely?) & sent a nice UK online retailer £140 for this box of gubbins. I also managed to get both packs of Gang Cards too (Nomads & Orlock Vehicles). Sometimes I can't reconcile my logic with my FOMO. Oh dear. What do you think of the squats they have shown Peter? I sense more wallet-draining ahead.
@EsotericOrderGamers2 жыл бұрын
That's OK, we're all friends here, you won't be judged. 😆 I like the squats! The style reminds me a little of the Karmans of AT-43, no doubt helped by the 1950s kitchen appliance colours they've chosen to paint the models.

@@EsotericOrderGamers Yes, I must go see if I can find a slide of my Mum's kitchen in the early 70s as I think the twin-tub washing machine might be inspirational when it comes to planning the Ironhead Squats paint scheme. Perhaps a thumb through the latest Smeg catalogue if I can't locate one in the loft? I'm still undecided as to a main colour for the Ash Wastes terrain, but weathered and beaten is definitely the way to go. I was trying to think how a sand-blasted look might be realised?
@EsotericOrderGamers2 жыл бұрын
These actually looked more sandblasted without the wash, because sand would make everything look more flat. But maybe more of a scouring than a chipping?
@LordTechnopants2 жыл бұрын
@@EsotericOrderGamers That makes sense. I wanted a sort of 'ground back to the primer' look as I imagine the surface ash is often horizontal when the winds blow. I remembered a Boeing 747 that was flying to Perth some years ago when there was a volcanic eruption (Indonesia?) and the nose (& cockpit glass) were pumiced to the quick.
