Great video Jill! Thanks for the tip of pressing the painters tape on your shirt to remove some stickiness...So many of my projects have been damaged due to the tape tearing off a layer of paper :(. I love how easy it is to create the shadow of snowbanks! My favorite is still the birds in flight..I would never have guest you SMooshed the deep blue color on with an acrylic block. Great idea! Seeing all four cards come to life has been very inspiring, Thanks for taking the time to make this video:)

Gorgeous. You're really getting me hooked on water coloring (beginner stage). You mentioned having 'two good brushes'. What brushes are you using (brand and size)? I have quite a few, probably more than I need or will use. Thanks for sharing your talent.

Thanks so much, Mary Ann! Isn't this watercolor addicting?! I am using Grumbacher Round, sizes 000 and 4. Happy Stamping-- Jill

***** Thanks, Jill. A beginner's question: the 000 is that the same as 3/0 a fine detail brush?
@PennyBlackInc10 жыл бұрын
Mary Ann Evans I am not really sure---so sorry! (I am still learning myself!) I will check it out next time I am at the store, though. The 000 is very small so it sounds like they would be serving the same purpose- small brushes for small places and details.
@online22much10 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks, Jill. Sorry to be a pest. Just found this size tip on google: 000 are larger than 5/0 the number of 0\'s is also it\'s size indicator. for example, 2/0=00, 5/0=00000. the smaller the number or the more 0\'s = the smaller the brush tip. windsor+newton are a company with a very good reputation but not every body\'s favourite. if you don\'t take good care of your brushes then don\'t spend a lot on them.

💕Have never seen the small stamp pads in Stay on. Where did you purchase them. Love all your videos.

Thanks so much for watching and for your comment and kind words about my videos! I've had the StazOn ink pads in my stash for quite some time... I can't even remember where I purchased them. Haha! A google search should help you find a retailer that carries them. They are called 'StazOn midi' inks. Happy stamping! -Jill

Hi Jean, I believe I have seen that at Joann's before. However, it all depends on the size of their store and if they have a large stamping / paper crafting demographic. The store where I used to live carried them. My new local Joann's doesn't. :-/ I hope that helps! ~Nikki
@mariep-MAPAT7 жыл бұрын
Hi! I find it gorgeous!! Is there a special reason to the use of a particular ink on your projects?
@PennyBlackInc7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I use a variety of inks depending on which mediums I plan to apply after stamping, for example, waterproof inks if I am going to be painting in an image and don't want it to bleed, or sometimes I just choose inks because I like the colors. Hope this helps! -Jill

How do you clean Staz on ink off your stamps
@PennyBlackInc4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment and question. I wish I could be more help, but I actually don't clean it completely off. I wash the stamp by wiping it thoroughly with a baby wipe or spraying it with water and scrubbing it with an old microfiber rag. Once it stamps clean, it can be reinked with other inks even though the stamp itself is stained. Happy stamping! -Jill

Hi Jill i'm so glad i subscribed to your channel that way i don't miss anything you do, you explain things wonderfully. I love doing backgrounds with watercolour but find after they dry they feel chalky. Is the quality of the watercolour a problem or is it user fault? Thank you in advance. Hugs and Luvs Wendy xxxx
@PennyBlackInc6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for your note! I don't find that my watercoloring ever feels chalky... hmmm. You've got me stumped. Perhaps it is a mix of whatever type of paints or paper you are using . Sorry I'm not more help. Happy stamping! :)
