I really enjoy your channel. I started my woodcarving journey about 4 months ago and it was the best decision. What an incredibly fun and relaxing hobby! Thanks for being a spark of inspiration like so many other incredible woodcarvers who share their work with the carving community. Thanks, Johnny!

I've been enjoying all of your content. I will say that this painting video and your other recent painting one are my favorites because you can tell that you're recording while you're painting, as opposed to the post voiceover that you have on the carving videos. Hand movements match up and make it feel like we're hanging out while you're doing it. Keep up the good work!

@bonezit6853 That's fantastic, thank you for saying that. It's a challenge to get "quiet time" while I carve so I usually mute the audio and do voice over over the course or an evening when I can get quiet moments. But painting I usually get time for when the kids are asleep which makes it easier.

I like painting videos, they are a great way to learn a new technique thanks! I have tried the ebonizing method and found it problematic to control. WhittlersGreen is the absolute master at ebonizing! I find I like danish oil and pastewax method as I agree with your assessment of Howard's Feed n Wax!

@bssn9469 right? Thanks for the feedback brother! Much appreciated. I still want to play around with the ebonizing. He uses it to such great effect I can't help but want to incorporate it somehow.
