Love traditional arts. Ty for putting this together and out there.

damn the same painting 3 times must take so much patience with yourself im amazed🥹 I think #2 is my fav! the looseness is just so charming to me i love how it feels like it celebrates more of the happy accidents of traditional painting🌱

I did the same last year. I’ve fallen in love with art again and it feels so much more rewarding and valuable to me now; digital art is great fun and valid but for me it always felt so “throwaway” in comparison

@@RachelJacksonArt I feel you! When I was painting these pieces, I realized how much I got used to just clicking a button to undo things with digital art 😅 There are benefits to both digital and traditional but watercolour painting makes you be more careful with each stroke!

try using the same colors from the tubs of watercolor then let it all dry come back with watercolor penclis on top for better fine in details and highlights.

Okay, I went to scroll through all the comments BUT THERE WAS ONLY TWO??? I though you would of been such a bigger chancel but I guess not! The professionalism of your channel and just how you produced your videos made me to believe that, as well as the confidence in your voice and just everything!! I really love your art and how you give your own critsim, I might need to start doing that. You have inspired me to try more watercolor painting and to try do the same kind 2 more times. So thank you, I am glad I found this channel and you. Thank you for this vid!!

for that last painting you said you didnt like those top lilypads you can take a photo of this painting bring it to procreate play around with perspective and then use that as a ref for the next traditional attempt :D might save you on some materials :D

@@Redmoon074 that’s such a good idea! I always forget that I can use both digital and traditional together 🥲 Thank you for the tip!!

This was such a great teaching moment and something I've yet to see someone in artube do in such an in depth way. I just loved it all from beginning to end. How you explained and showed your vision and mindset throughout all three paintings. They all looked lovely but hearing what you liked and what you could improve on, how you would go about doing that in the next one, then getting to see the finished pieces? Well, that was exactly the content I've been searching for and have yet to find. It made one heck of a great video and learning experience. So glad you came up in my feed tonight and quickly subscribed. I can't wait for the next video. Keep it up! 😊

Beautiful work! I liked the detail in the last version the most but I really loved the approach of finding 3 things you love/would improve for each attempt! Really great way to study but still give yourself kudos where deserved

Wondering if part of the lilypads looking off is them not having visible stems when the water is clear in other areas 🤔
