Thank you so much for your wonderful words! I started my channel in July 2023 because I was demotivated to create art because of abundance of ai pictures on social media and the fact that the company I did illustrations for started to ask for less and less commissions. I could easily afford a living through my art before 2023, now I can't. I was a digital artist before starting this channel. I decided to come back to my roots when I did traditional art and I fell in love with videography when I experimented making my first videos of my art process. I'm adapting, trying to improve and hoping to find new ways to share my passions with people. Your words mean a lot to me! Thank you. 🥺🧡

@@dariaestudioyour work is great. It really is horrible what’s happening with AI art and design. I’m a graphic designer and although I’m still able to make a living I am very worried. Artists are already getting phased out and we’re only witnessing version 1.0. I feel like it’s only a matter of years until we’re completely replaced. Unless people start rejecting AI in the creative space I think we’re doomed.

This was amazing, not sure why people are upset about thickness of the gouache, I thought it was satisfying how opaque it was, i also paint with gouache so don't worry love ❣️🤗. Also where's your paper from 🤩
@dariaestudio10 ай бұрын
Thank you! I believe people see a lot of artists on KZbin painting in thinner layers and think that it's the correct way. At University, I learned that the correct way to use gouache is not too thick and not too liquid, just fluid enough to cover inconsistencies. But I also discovered different techniques and that there's nothing wrong with painting in thicker layers. The paper is from a local store called Homâ, I bought it a few years ago. Thank you so much for your support!

Wdym underrated? Theres tons who use it on yt now... id say its overrated, too streaky, dries in a different colour thus making it very hard to use the right color and enjoy painting... it doesnt blend well.. and I use expensive gousche as well
@mollipopisntreal10 ай бұрын
@@ΔεαΚ it definitely takes patience and skill to use; don't hate just because you struggle with it :) I appreciate this artist's use of it, and I enjoy the aesthetic of many of the paintings shown on KZbin that were made with the medium. I feel that it's underrated, but thanks for the input!

Where did you get that paint brush holder???

The big one is from Aliexpress shorturl.at/GIY69 (it's the only one that was high enough for my brushes...and I also put two folded cardboards inside to hold the brushes better 02:39) And the whale is from Temu shorturl.at/evyRW (it's the lightest blue one)

Is the skewing of the bottom red drop intentional? If so, can you explain your reasoning? I love the painting and everything about the video by the way! And I love how the use of colored pencils and the super-glue!
@dariaestudio10 ай бұрын
It's actually accidental but I left it as it is anyway, because the super-glue glues some things so fast and I didn't want to ruin the paper by correcting it... but I still liked how it looked in the end. I'm trying to overcome a perfectionist in me.😅 Thank you so much for your words!

@dzydaria yea I actually like how it turned out! It bugged me a little bit in the beginning but it turned out! There's something pretty about imperfections sometimes! That's why I like to be loose with my lines and freehand most things.

Beautiful...but the application of the gouache seemed too thick & clumpy at some points maybe thinning it out with a little water to get the right consistency.. (maybe😊). You can tell that the gouache consistency is not uhm well consistent with the way you have a blotchy outcome in some areas of the piece 😊
@dariaestudio10 ай бұрын
Thank you for taking the time to write feedback! I also paint with thinner layers of gouache, I'm just a fan of thicker layers, it reminds me of oil and acrylic paintings. But I'm still practicing and learning new ways that work the best for me. 🙂
@LadyBlueRR10 ай бұрын
@@dariaestudio I know how you feel I started in Acrylic too... But I've found a happy medium with just the right amount of water.. whereas you can maintain the thickness of gouache without the clumsiness or blotching...mind you it took me forever AND sometimes depending on the weather it just won't work 😂😂😂😂... I definitely recommend you give it a try because once you find that sweet spot ooh God is so nice
@LadyBlueRR10 ай бұрын
@@dariaestudio Also, I think because my 1st experience was with HIMI gouache, I actually studied how some of the Ghibli artists did their pieces... It's a little different because they use Poster, which I found to be more on the gouache side 😊😊😊
@dariaestudio10 ай бұрын
@@LadyBlueRR Thank you for your comments! I will definitely practice more with gouache. It's been a while since the last time I learned about it at University of Arts and I'm currently experimenting different ways to paint until I find that satisfying spot.

I have NO IDEA what the right water to paint ratio is correct for gouache... I studied it and used it once in college to get my art degree but I just can't 😭.... Any ideas how to make it opaque but not clumpy? Smooth but not too watery? Lord help
@dariaestudio5 ай бұрын
I also have no exact idea, I also studied art and I learned that it depends on our preferences. I like it when it resembles textures of oil paintings, not too smooth not too thick, I like to see some degree of texture in gouache paintings. I don't paint regularly with gouache, I'm still learning. 🧐

There are different ways to paint with gouache. In this video, I showed just another way to paint with gouache, I put it on a plate and mixed it with water and gum arabic. Some people like thick layers, it resembles those paintings in acrylic or oil. It's also therapeutic for me. I like this style but I also paint with gouache with thinner layers sometimes. It depends on the mood and artistic style I want to convey.
