Agar kisi medium jaise gesso ke upar hi paint karna hai to fir base canvas ki jagah wood pc bhi ho sakta hai ? Second acrylic gesso se prime karne ke baad kya uspar oil paint bhi use kar sakte hai ya sirf acrylic?

Recently stumbled upon your videos a d they are really amazing and the little tips you give are mind blowing !! I just want to ask that why do you use this 'acrylic gesso' for your oil paintings? Does the gesso specifically for oil paintings give different finish? Also how much time should I give to an oil painting to completely dry before applying varnish? And tell about this varnish too? Do we use wall paint varnish or can we use clear acrylic spray paint ??

Thank you very much for your appreciation 😊 , and i think gesso is same for oil and acrylic colors and ofcourse oil color can even be used on acrylic colors so acrylic gesso is no problem,

Best time to varnish is after 3 to 4 months because oil paint apparently dry in 4 5 days but inside there are reactions going on. And oil paint varnish (gloss or matt) should be used from good company like winsor and newton etc , wall paint varnish cant be used i think

when oil paints are completely dried, varnish should be used , it can be matt varnish or gloss varnish

Prime kiya hua hota to hy , but if you want really smooth finish and easy blending, to ek layer kr lena chahiye because you know shop waly bht cheap material use krty gesso ni hti i think , so it is better to add one layer of gesso
