Paintball and airsoft HPA regulator removal and installation

My old field used to ALWAYS red Loctite the regulators on... drove me nuts. I think many manufacturers DO use red loctite. I just bought one of those "really old" hybrid on off asa bleeders at a local paint shop who still had one laying around. They work good!

How do you tell what size goes to between the regulator and the tank ? Are all the tanks standard or are some different ??

@panchopistola8298 I test fit them and you want to have roll the O ring on the threaded part of the regulator

@@Green1976FJ40 Ok so kinda look at the original and get the general outer diameter and then make sure it rolls on the threaded part and it should be fine ?

Noticed you never installed any Dow33 or o-ring grease when reinstalling reg? Is that normal?

There is personal preference on that some people do grease the Oring and some don't. I have done 1000s with out issue.

@@Green1976FJ40 Really? interesting to know. Do you grease your regulators? when maintaining. I have never cleaned mine yet after a year and feel its about time. Any recommendations would be helpful. I have been trying to Research before attempting.

In terms of the regulator I do put a super light film on the o rings when reassembling when I rebuild a regulator but I don't grease it like I would grease a marker internally

@@Green1976FJ40 Many thanks for the info. I have just purchased a tank pressure release tool but since watching your YT pod cast i will invest in the reg removal tool. I have also realised that you should empty the tank before attempting to put on the low pressure reg onto tank reg if under pressure. Nobody explains this!

Are those o-rings in the red case Metric or Standard? Does it matter if the o-ring on the reg stem is 90D or B70?

If moisture gets inside an hpa air tank, how would you go about and remove it with your expertise?

I usually turn the tank upside down let it set for A-day or 2 in a warm dry room.

you can fill it right away but I usually put some air in like 1000 psi do see if there is any leaks

Is it safe to press the top pin of the tank to release the gas

Yes it is but extremely difficult when the tank is above 1000psi be careful if you use some sort of tool made of wood you can damage the pin

no it won't but I am not there i can't see all 5he factors that your dealing with. Do you have a remote line to use to deair the tank

Thanks for the info Brother. I messed up and bought a ninja 13ci bottle with the Standard Reg and 800 Aint cuttin it for either of my Sig Mcx and Mpx. Need 1100 and now I know how to swap it out! Too bad that guy's only on Facebook - I don't Patronize anything to do with that .

is that outlook address active still I havent seen anyone with outlook address since 90s I really want to buy one of these tools I dont like the square ones that most people sell i dont have a vice always handy. another thing is the o - ring kit you have are they all 70- 90 buna ? yeah i dont think its the o - ring holds the reg down its the holes they are angled so the pressure actually holds the regulator in

The regulators in the video that I've was removing have been removed before sometimes you have to put their regulator removal tool in a vise there's attached to a bench and then use the strap wrench on the tank. Sometimes I've even broken regulators 1/2 where the company that may a factures them or sells them if there are sold by ans gear you're pretty much out of luck
