What a fun idea! I could use my hoard of different-sized paper bags. I also have bags with different patterns that I could cover to make them more fun to use. Thanks for sharing your creative ideas. You always manage to stir my creative little brain with fun ideas. Looking forward to your next idea. Forgive me for sending hugs, thoughts and prayers to you as I am grieving the 1st anniversary of my mother's passing in December. (After caring for her for 8 years) She was 93 years young and afflicted with a form of Alzheimer's.

What a wonderful idea Ceri!!!!!! These treat bags could be used year round if decorated nonseasonly and used to send off special treats as a thank you, birthday, Easter, when sending extra things to your swap partners-the list is endless! Prior to my introduction to mixed media, i made something similar as halloween treat bags for all the nursing staff on the ward I took care of as their ward clerk. I used patterned paper and secured the top with a separate piece of patterned cardstock and tied with ribbon.

Thank you Lynn or is it Lynne I’ve never known.
@silvergraniandhergrumpygno4135 күн бұрын
@ It’s Lynne, I think it’s Welsh for Lake or so my Mom told me. She picked that name because it couldn’t be adulterated into a nickname. My Grandmother turned it into Lynnesielou and my BBF turned it into Lynnie.

Hello Ceri. First, I have to let you know how much I love your videos. It would take me pages to explain how much your ideas have inspired my paper crafting and art. Your videos kept me out of my husband's hair on the train from Chicago to New Orleans last year. I literally made a journal out of stuff I gathered on the trip. Anyway, my main reason for writing is to empathize with you about your bad experiences at stores these days. My pet peeve is when the cashier answers the store phone while I am waiting to pay for my stuff. I have walked out of more than one shop and ranted to more than one manager. Anyhow, about Aldi. I have to put in my pitch about this chain. I do not have any connection to Aldi other than as a frequent shopper, and, the savings I have enjoyed are rather extraordinary. I find their products to be far and away finer than what you can find in the other grocery chains. I have heard Aldi called the poor man's Trader Joe's. It pained me to hear about the bad experience you had there. I have not had such poor service, fortunately, but, if I ever do, I won't leave the store without venting my spleen. But I realize you were with your mom, and I have been there. On one outing with my late mother, I almost got arrested when I went off. LOL. But, oh wow, I am getting windy here. I agree that they do move you through quickly at the check out, and you have to be on your toes to keep up with them, but, this is why the prices are lower. No frills. You had the great misfortune of being confronted with a cashier who was clearly having a bad day. It happens. Where I come from, Waukegan, Illinois, the employees are all incredibly grateful to have a job at a place that does pay well and offer good benefits. And, being a rather low income town, the residents who shop there are able to get more and higher quality food for their families. OK. Done. I may not have tempted you to try Aldi again, but, I just wanted to share my thoughts. I am so very sorry about your sister's sudden passing. I hope your holidays are filled with everything you love. Nancy
@CeriGriffiths3 күн бұрын
Thank you Nancy and sharing different experiences is a good thing as the whole company is not just one bad employee. As for where you live I’m familiar with it as I used to live in Glenview for a couple of years.

You did a video on making a treat box from a piece of 12x12 cardstock. Viewers can adapt it to make a bag from thinner paper.

QUESTION. Love your idea. I've made gift bags and little boxes for at my Christmas table and put in some mints and candy. Cari, I've been buying the Art Glitter Glue (and loving it) ever since I saw you using it, BUT, how do you put that extra tip on, that you have on your bottle? I ordered the tips twice, but it doesn't seem to be what you have on the tip of yours for thin application. I'm not in a rush to know, so I can wait to see if you show it in your Question and Answer video next.
@CeriGriffithsАй бұрын
Linda I purchase the metal tip the same time I purchased my first bottle of art glitter glue, if I remember I just snipped the end off the plastic bottle applicator and then screwed the metal tip over it. I’ll have to look at mine and see if I can explain it in my next video for you.
