Painted Spinning Wheel: Majacraft Luna by Suzy Brown

In my growing portfolio of painted spinning wheels, this is the first one I have done with a forest/leaf theme! Painted for a friend, who is an amazing geo-caching whizz and wanted something that reflected that passion, I devised a leafy design and also hid some little geocache icons around the wheel too :) This was one of the first Majacraft Luna's shipped in New Zealand in 2023! When we were designing this wheel it was one of my dreams that it would have fantastic surfaces for decorating like this, and it was a really fun project to paint. Not a lot of information on the Luna itself yet. How do you like it? I spin on an old Ashford traditional, am ready to try something new.

The Luna is proving very popular indeed! There is a Facebook group about Majacraft Wheels and Tools where we have a discussion going, its not an official Majacraft group but lots of wheel owners there including new Luna owners :) I love mine (of course, I helped design it!) because it is super smooth and stable for spinning, as well as light to treadle and easy to set up, most people seem able to spin nice yarn straight away with no big new-wheel-learning-curve! I think you would like it :)
