Painting a Comb Jelly using Watercolor (challenge piece)

Here I paint Euplokamis Dunlapae on 4x6 hot press paper using watercolors. I am bringing back art videos as a trial, as several people suggested that I bring these back.

Cool, I was wondering if you thought of putting a varnish top coat on your painting?

I almost always do, actually. In fact the leopard I gave you has it as well, it's just a satin finish. I use it as a fixative and to protect from UV a little bit. The trick is finding one that's non-yellowing and won't cause the paint to lift or run. I find Rust-Oleum Painters Touch clearcoat (it's acrylic, not nitrocellulose or polyurethane) to be quite good for this.
