nooooo the broken ceramic breaks my heart. use DAP/caulk to fix it! it adheres strongly and is water/moldproof. just overfill the crack, wipe down the edges, and let it fully dry for 24 hours.

My sister went through similar allergy issues with her pup, where he was super itchy and would get hotspots all over, and removing all poultry from his diet worked like a dream! His vet let us know that some dogs are born with that allergy to chicken and turkey, but are totally fine with beef and salmon, etc. I don’t if this applies to Toadie’s situation, but I wanted to throw it out there just in case it resonates with anyone going through a similar dealio! Love your videos, Leigh, and I hope that Toadie feels better soon!! 💖

This actually got me to do a bit of drawing in the middle of the video. I started learning to draw last month but have been really bad at keeping it a habit. This video got me to wanting to try and draw everyday for a month and see the improvements that are made. I'm only a beginner so I'm not setting my goals too high. I like what you said about creating art for yourself since that's what I see myself doing with art. If it develops into something more then I can look at it then. :) Love your content as always :)

Hey, just a thought for your broken palette! If you look up something called Kintsugi, it's a Japanese method of fixing broken pottery/ceramics/etc with gold colored glue/ink stuff. It takes a flaw and makes it something really pretty! :)

I tend to overwork my art too. Something I like to do is scan my piece several times near the end of the process so if I overwork it, it's sad that the original isn't as good, but the prints will be good. For example, I scanned one of my paintings before I put glitter and some extra details on it and the glitter messed it up. The original is a bit sad but at least the prints are really nice because I have that scan from before I messed it up 🖌️

I reccomend paw balm to help with paw pad itchiness. Also antiitch shampoo/conditioner it really helpful. Some unsolicited advice from a dog groomer: he's likely allergic to some filler in the food. Dogs can be allergic to potatoes oatmeal even chicken :/ I reccomend hills science, acana, canidae or any food without any potential allergens. Make sure the first 3-5 ingredients are whole and that the rest of them are non allergens. Also wet food you can get in the refrigerated section that is totally just meat and veggies is ideal but SPENSIVE. Pumpkin helps the digestive tract calm down as well make sure it's actually just pumpkin without seasonings and sugar tho. If it's environmental he could benefit from an antihistamine but of course consult your vet.

My dog has 10 different allergies (food and environmental) so I feel you. He’s currently receiving immunotherapy injections as well as cytopoint injections. It has made a HUGE difference. If you can get it, I’d definitely recommend it.

Love your hair Leigh, I’m catching up on your vlogs and I thought I’d share a lil tip about knowing/not knowing if you’ve finished painting. If you aren’t sure if you’re done you can colour copy onto a goodish quality card and paint on that. Much easier than that is just taking a photo and open in Procreate and you can mess about to your hearts content.
