This is a great thing to do. It gives me hope in other artists to know that someone would put their passion into teaching practices. I myself have loved creating vr art but at the end of the day am clueless how to share it with the majority of people who dont have vr. I am looking forward to watching through the whole series. We all have to push this medium forward together. I think you'll enjoy Ep. 11 where I talk about creating 2D videos in Unity. What's your expertise in 3D outside of Tilt Brush? If you make it to the end of what I've shared so far, mind telling me how it went? I'd love to hear some feedback, especially if you haven't used Unity before.

@@TheSpatialCanvas I've spent most of my time in tilt brush and masterpeice vr. I cant seem to find a good workflow for the tools in gravity sketch and unbound is just too limited. tvori is great too. Outside of virtual, i do sculptures of different mediums. I will definately give you as much feeback as comes to mind. I do have the slightest bit of experience with unity, i bet that will be awesome to learn.

Thank you; I just got tiltbrush two days ago and I love it so much. I'm not an artist but am having so much fun. I'll definitely try this. When I uploaded my first art to poly, it showed a huge close up on the screen instead of showing the whole scene.

I totally get it. I got it for my Quest, and while I clearly am no artist, I find it really relaxing to sit on my bed, put on some podcast or music and just paint something.

I find it so hard to draw in VR, I am great at VR games and take no adjusting but when I try tiltbrush etc I find it hard to line things up correct, like if I am drawing a head and do the eyes ill do 1 eye and then the other eye if I move around is further back haha

Matte Hull is by far my most used and favourite brush in Tilt Brush! I frickin love it

Not gonna lie, I struggle to see the utility in Tilt Brush versus Gravity Sketch. Tilt Brush seems to be far more of a toy than a tool for creation compared to Gravity Sketch. I picked up both of them recently, though, and they're both fun. But these videos are showing me what Tilt Brush can be used for and it's great. :)

I'm on the Valve Index, but only recently got it. I worked on the same Rift for the greater part of the last 4 years. I kind of miss the touch controllers, but the view in the Index is too good to give up.

This is a wonderful tutorial. I am using multibrush, but i'm noticing there's no export feature on it. In the quest store comments everyone says Tiltbrush is on a dead track but it still costs 20$, whereas Multibrush is free, but no export option. Anybody know of a way to get stuff out of Multibrush?

Tilt went open source when Google canceled it. There are currently two new builds going around, one even has multiplayer! ...Both free. Look up Open Brush to start.

As you play more with both apps, you'll find that they both have different "feels". I personally find that it's easier to get my ideas out in Tilt Brush first since they don't give you the option to precisely edit your meshes. It's similar to how you CAN start modeling in Blender first, but it might be more beneficial to draw that idea out on paper first.
