Rachel has reawakened the creative side of me that has been hibernating in depression for years. Seriously I can't emphasize enough how much her goofy and incredibly genuine personality and generous creativity has given me back my soul. These last few months after finding her videos have been some of the most productive and joyful I can remember in a decade. I've started painting again, taken up quilling (a craft I always wanted to try), and am slowly gaining the confidence to explore and wear the clothes that interest ME rather than what is "expected" of me. Thank you Rachel! Thank you! Thank you!

Pro Tip from a Lowe's Paint department employee: Ask for a paint sample instead of buying a quart. They only come in satin, but they cost four dollars each and are only about a half pint of paint. If you need more, bring in the container you got it in and they should be able to read the formula off the label and make you more.

when I was a kid, my mom painted a mural in the hallway of this field surrounded by woods, and I think there was a cottage there too? and then painted a white lattice criss cross fence over top of it so it looked like you were looking through the fence into the distance, and I was so engrossed with it that I used to spend hours just sitting in the hallway and staring up at it, pretending I was playing in that field, or talking to the owner of the cottage, or sometimes pretending it was my cottage. I can't recall the details of it very well anymore, because we moved out of that house when I was 11 and so far my mom hasn't been able to find a picture of it, but god I miss it. she also made these borders around the living room with hand painted ivy leaves and did a light sponge painting with some forest green around the walls. it was so beautiful. anyway, this video not only let me live vicariously through you (I'm renting and paint is expensive and I'm no artist), but it also made me hella nostalgic in the best way!! so thank you for showing us your beautiful mural, and for being a nice cozy place to reminisce and get back in touch with that dreamy part of my psyche that I missed.
